My Long Island Memories and More

A website by David R. Jackson

Thank you for visiting my page at Angelfire.

This index page is a link to various pages about my memories of living on Long Island, as well as other thoughts. The pages that make up this webpage are listed below.

What's NewAs of January 9, 2007

I now have the beginnings of my Long Island Radio Surveys page. I am still looking for Long Island radio station surveys to potentially include. Click here for more details.

I would like to start a section of this website dealing with the evolution of Long Island street name signs. If you have any Long Island street sign information or some scannable street sign photos to donate, please e-mail me. Thank you very much.

An Unofficial History

This section is an unofficial history of Long Island high school sporting events on television from about 1973 through the present.

WLIX Christian 540 Memories

WLIX was a Contemporary Christian radio station from 1979 until the Fall of 1995. My memories will focus largely on the period of 1979 through 1982, which is when I listened to the station regularly.

WSNL Channel 67 Tribute Page

WSNL Channel 67 was Long Island's first commercial television station. This page includes an evolution of the Channel 67 schedule, an historical timeline, and a complete rundown of the Long Island high school and college sporting events shown on WSNL during its original incarnation from 1973 through 1975.

Long Island High School Football and Basketball Uniforms History

On this page I plan to include word descriptions of the uniforms of Long Island high school football and basketball teams. I hope you will submit photos and/or drawings to assist me in this endeavor.

Long Island Radio Surveys and Music Memories

This section is devoted to Long Island radio station survey and playlist information Im able to find.

I also plan to use this website for messages and appeals pertaining to Long Island based projects I want to embark on.

Once again, thank you for visiting this page.
