She wondered how it was that two people, who's needs were so much alike, and who obviously cared for each other very much, could just never seem to make things work out the way they both had wanted them to.
Why was sharing this love that they both felt deep within their souls, so much more of a task, and not more of the pleasure that it was so certainly meant to be?
Time and time again, they would try to pick up the pieces and move on, hoping they had learned from the mistakes of their past, and with this new knowledge, be able to move in a more positive direction with their lives.
What was it about them that made them so much alike, and yet so different at the very same time, putting them at odds with each other instead of bringing them closer when they both really were yearning for each other's love?
The tears were flowing in her eyes now as she thought about the letter she had just written to him, telling him that as much as she loved him, she would have to let him go, since the pain they were both causing each other was not worth the price.
She wondered how he would react when he read that letter, and if he would still want to give it one more try, knowing very well, that in all probability, it really was never meant to be.
Letting go is always a difficult thing to do, and as much as this was tearing her apart, she knew now that she had no other choice but to let her dreams go...since now they really were too close for comfort.
