IN MY FINAL SURRENDER
In my final surrender
I must now let you go,
though the pain in my heart,
is just killing me so.
To try to hang on now
after all of this time,
just makes no more sense,
and it confuses my mind.
The tears keep on flowing
and the loss seems too great,
and I wonder why our love
had to come to such fate.
The dreams all so real
slowly have vanished away,
leaving me all alone now,
left with no more to say.
In my final surrender
I still envision your face,
as you kiss me goodbye now,
then slowly release your embrace...
