As Kaitlin walks into LaPlata High School she realizes that this is going to be a different experience. She’s 5’5” ish and has blonde hair with pink and blue in it. She’s wearing a pair of black Dickies and a I <3 Zack Morris t-shirt. When she enters the building one of the first people to talk to her is a guy. He’s kinda pudgy, but that’s cute. He introduces himself.
Hey, my name is Benji. I’m guessing that you’re a new student here.
Um. Yea I am. My name’s Kaitlin. Hey would you mind showing me around?
Joel walks up behind Benji while Kaitlin is fidgeting with her notebook. She looks up and…
Holy shit … there’s two of you. Kaitlin says after seeing the two standing next to each other.
Joel laughs. My name is Joel. Benji and I are twins.
Well I sorta figured that one out on my own. Replies Kaitlin.
So do you guys wanna show me around this wonderful school? Asks Kaitlin
Sure. The twins reply in unison.
After finding her way around the school Kaitlin walks into a math class and sits down. The last people to walk in are Benji and Joel they decide to sit next to her. The teacher writes an equation on the board and expects the class to work on it, however Kaitlin raises her hand and tells the teacher that you can’t solve that equation. The teacher looks at it and realizes his mistake and rewrites the problem.
Benji and Joel both look at each other and wonder where that came from. Kaitlin gives a shy laugh when she realizes what the two guys are thinking.
I’m not some super genius, it’s just that I like to correct teachers and find any possible mistake. It gives me entertainment when they look up the problem and try to debate with me. Too bad he didn’t. That would have been fun.
After class its time for lunch and Kaitlin has no clue where to go. Benji and Joel are walking off and she doesn’t want to seem like she needs them but Kaitlin gets over it and asks them if she can sit with them at lunch.
During lunch they begin to talk and she ends up telling them her sort of life story.
So where are you from? Asks Joel
Well I lived in Seattle, Washington MOST of my life but then I had to move to Dallas, Texas and now I’m here in Waldorf, Maryland. ….. crap my breath is stanky… do you guys have any mints?
Benji and Joel rummage through their stuff and don’t find anything. Kaitlin realizes this and walks up to the popular table and asks one of the cheerleaders for a mint. She gets one and comes back to Joel and Benji who are in shock.
Why did you go to the cheerleaders? Asks a shocked Benji
Hahaha well cheerleaders are always makin out riiight? Well they have to have mints with them. So I asked her for a mint and she gave me one. It was as simple as that. Oh and I know how to ask a “popular” (she even does the bunny air quote things) chick for stuff. I used to be her in Seattle. I was never a cheerleader but I was in the popular group.
Wait. You in the popular group? If you’re so cool why don’t you just go hang out with them? Joel asks defensively.
Because they all have sticks up their asses. Besides you guys are way better. Well I need to go find my next class. I’ll see you guys lata.
Kaitlin walks away and that’s when Benji and Joel start to talk about her.
Hey do you think she’s worth keeping around? Asks Benji
Well she definitely has an attitude that’s pretty fun to hang around. She seems pretty chill about everything. And she’s nice. That’s kinda weird. Well we better go.
