~TWAS THE DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS~

Twas the days before Christmas
When I couldn't sleep
Thinking of the prayer
"My soul to keep"

Missing someone
That I love with my heart
Remembering the days they were here
Before our lives had to part

Remembering the good times
When life was so good
When he and I were together
So proudly we stood

Each year in December
As Christmas time nears
I remember my life
That always brings tears

For Christmas is love
For those in our hearts
A parent and child
Should never have to part

But I'd like to believe
There's Christmas in Heaven
For all of our children
Whether they're two or seven

Twenty-one or Forty
The years do not matter
It's our love and memories
How I miss the chatter

Loneliness comes
This time of year
Missing our children
Who are no longer here

But I believe in eternity
And God up above
I know my child is home
With abundance of love

Yet I still get lonely
I still feel sad
My wish each Christmas
Is to see the child I had

I know that one day
We will celebrate again
How I wait to hear his laughter
And to hug him once again

No matter how many years
I'm left here alone
I'll always miss my child
Who now calls heaven home

Merry Christmas my child
I love you with all my heart
One day we'll be together again
And we'll never have to part

I love you Munchkin
