Skylee was sitting by herself in the crowded hotel lounge/bar, really wanting a drink but obviously not managing to wheedle one from the bartender. She glanced up from her plain coke as AJ took the only empty seat; next to her. “ Good to see you, Skylee,” “ Hi, AJ,’ She said dryly, not in the mood for his wit right now. “ Hey, could I just get a plain shot of vodka, please?” She heard him ask the bartender. “ So, taste good?” He asked, indicating the glass she was holding. “ Do you have to comment on everything?” She asked irritably. “ Well, there goes your free drink,” He shrugged in mock regret and accepted the shot glass. “ I don’t need anything from you,” She snapped, taking another sip of the now flat coke. “ It’s funny how things work out in the end. Watch me be the only one who can save you and have every nasty little comment thrown back in your face,” He said, keeping his tone light but Skylee heard the angry undertone in his voice. “ You? Ha. You can’t even find your ass with two hands and a flashlight, how will you be able to save anyone from anything?” She asked sarcastically. “ You know, you’re a real bitch, if there ever was one...And I thought for sure that’d be my Aunt Jillian,” He replied calmly, her insult bouncing off him and sparking a worse one to which she had no comment to. She reached for her purse and signaled to the bartender that she was ready to pay. “ $1.50,” He said as she rifled through her purse. “ You know what? I seem to have left my wallet upstairs-” “ If I believed that excuse every time I heard it, my ass would be on the street, Sugar,” “ I got it,” AJ said, smirking as he gave the bartender a ten dollar bill. “ Here’s your change,” Skylee glared at AJ as he took the money and slid it back in his pocket. “ I believe to have found my ass, Sugar,” He said slyly to her, acknowledging her glare. “ You’re welcome,” He nodded when she didn’t say anything. “ Thank you, AJ,” She replied deliberately, standing up. “ “Night, Sugar. You sure you don’t wanna stick around? I’m in the mood to dance tonight,” AJ said sassily ( **ya know the voice; the gay one**)as she started to walk away...

Thursday AJ walked into the dance prep room the next day, hungover, and he walked over to where Nick was sitting with Skylee. “ Hey,” He murmered, dropping into one of the chairs. “ Hey, AJ,” Nick nodded. “ Looks like someone had a good time last night,’ Skylee greeted. “ Hey, I invited you, you declined,” AJ shrugged and took a swig of water from his water bottle. “ Back to Sherry?” Nick asked, remembering the other night. “ Oh, right. Next time I’m back with Sherry, I’ll bring my eleven year old cousin,” AJ shook his head. “ That’s not right, you shouldn’t trash someone’s reputation,” Skylee said distastefully. “ Look who’s talking about morals,” AJ said. “ Your rep is something you can’t ever get back, AJ,” “ Are you speaking from experience?” “ I’m not asking you to do me any favors, I was just saying-” “ Well, next time, don’t, ok?” AJ snapped. Skylee stared back at him. “ Hey, Bone, calm down,” Nick said, a little surprised at how fast AJ’s mood had changed. “ I am calm,” He declared, focusing on his bottle of Dasani. He looked over at Skylee who was looking back down at her magazine and felt a wave of guilt. “ Hey, Skylee. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have snapped,” He apologized, feeling bad. “ That’s intresting,” She replied and AJ felt his face flush slightly with anger. “ You know, at least I’m big enough to apologize,” He stated, somewhat angrily. “ But you still trash someone’s reputation behind her back?” “ I said I was sorry,” “ Why do I need your apology? You weren’t talking about me,” “ Then why are you throwing a fit about it?” “ I’m not,” “ Ok, just end this right here, don’t comment on anything I say,” “ I can comm-” “ Sky, AJ, come on, guys, be cool, don’t argue,” “ He’s being an ass,” Sky stated simply, reaching to pick up her ringing cell. “ Who’d wanna call you?” AJ muttered. “ Hello?...Oh, Reese! Hey!...Yup...Still stuck here-” AJ glanced at Nick, wondering who Reese was. “ Hey, guys,” Kevin greeted, sitting down next to them on the floor. “ Hey, Kevin,” They both replied, AJ’s somewhat half-hearted. “ How many nights of the week are you planning on getting drunk, AJ?” Kevin asked dryly, noticing his hangover. “ As many as it takes to find a decent girl and not feel the need to forget about the night before,” Kevin stared at AJ reapprovingly. “ Why do this to yourself, Bone?” ( Kev) “ Because he’s an ass,” Skylee said through her phone conversation. “ Thank you, Skylee, for that brilliant statement,” AJ said mockingly. “ Skylee,” Kevin said warningly. They chatted for a few more minutes until rehearsal started back up...
