"Why isn't anything washed?!" Bridget panicked. She sprinted around her room in the quest to find her black flares. Maybe if her room didn't look like a tornado swept through it, she could find her clothes. She gasped in triumph as she spotted them under her new yellow moon and star comforter. She scooped her pale green tank top out of her chestnut dresser as Tiyanna came strolling into her room. "Wow," Bridget exclaimed as she pulled on her tank top and clipped her hair up with her brown claw clip, "you look nice."
"I hoped an hour of prepping would make me look presentable," Tiyanna laughed, tugging on her light blue polo baby tee.
"I just need to find..." Bridget started, crawling on her needs like a dog, as Tiyanna picked up her black adidas sandals. Bridget peered up and smiled. "What would I do without you?" Bridget asked.
"Let's not wait to find out," Tiyanna joked as they stormed out of the room with laughter.
It took like 15 minuetes to get to Sasha's house and they thanked Mr. Martino for the ride. The house looked like Cinderella's castle but maybe that was because of all of the stringed lights that hugged the 2 floor white house like a christmas tree. Ja Rule's "Between Me and You" was pumping so loud, people were shaking it as they walked inside.
Bridget and Tiyanna were instintaneously greeted by a smiling Sasha. Her blue eyes twinkled whenever she smiled. "I'm glad you guys made it," Sasha greeted them with hugs, "I was about to give up on you two."
"Well," Tiyanna started, looking at Ridge, "Ridge sorta..."
"Had a bomb explode in my room," she finished. Sasha let out a hearty laugh and pointed them to the back patio. They swivled between couches, tables and chairs and made it into the back. There must have been 50 some odd people there. Ridge didn't even recognized half of them, but Tiyanna floated around like a social butterfly. Bridget adjusted her tank top as Tiyanna introduced her to Krystal and Jenny.
"Yeah, I know you," Jenny started, tossing her long light brown hair over her bare shoulders, "you're in my chorus class...a sporano, like me?"
"Yeah, I am," Bridget assured her as she took a sip of her soda.
"We should hang out more," Krystal proposed, waving to one of her guy pals, "I haven't seen you around much."
Bridget just simply agreed because she didn't want to get into why she couldn't hang out as much as she'd like. After a little while, she found Shane by the poolside. Shane and her have been friends for a while.
"B!" he exclaimed, hugging her as his spiky hair tickled her neck, "you're out among the people."
"Very funny, Shane," she joked, punching his arm.
"So...how are things..." he started, stuffing his hands into his khaki's pockets.
"With Bryant?" she finished his sentance, gazing into his deep brown eyes. He nodded in anticipation. "Over...I believe." A relieved smile was pasted onto his face.
"Bridget! Dreamstreet is going to perform now!" Tiyanna told her as she dragged Bridget with her towards the red patio. In the mist of the tugging, Bridget asked her how she heard of Dreamstreet and Ti replied that her little cousin was watching the video and she got hooked!
The girls were all giggling and whispering to each other as Sasha motioned them for silence. "I'm really glad this party had such a great turnout. These guys are really special friends of mine and their video for their latest single, "It Happens Every Time", is going to be a smash. They've always been there for me. So without further ado, here's Chris, Matt, Jesse, Frankie and Greg perfoming a slow accapella tune, "Dream On."
The single ladies sat along the patio as the couples began to slow dance like they were on cloud 9. Bridget noticed Frankie the minuete his name escapes Sasha's lips. Frankie started to sing and to walk Bridget's way. Ti was too busy staring at Chris making googly eyes with the single girls. "Well, we've come a long long way," Frankie started, his hand held behind his back and the rest of the guys swaying to the music. The girls were swaying, too. Bridget concluded that music does something to the soul; it connects you with other people and you seem to be working as one. Frankie bent next to Ridge and took her hand as he sang, with warm eyes, "'Cause every cloud has a silver lining. Just believe and the sun will shine...Dream On..."
Bridget was nearly in tears. The world just stopped for those 10 seconds. She loved the smell of his April Fresh Downy on his button-down dark green shirt. It was very sweet and Ti was gleaming with happiness. Everyone clapped when the song was finished, even the guys. The guys bowed and dispersed into the crowd. Bridget was facing Ti in excitement as Frankie found her in the crowd. Ti gave a little nodd and Bridget turned around. "Hey," she greeted him.
"Hi," he replied with a smile. "I didn't know you would be here."
"And you," Bridget replied, putting her hands on her hips. "Man, that was quite something. I didn't know you sang."
"Guess we don't know alot about each other," Franke laughed, "I hope that can change."
"Me too," Ridge agreed. She was overwhelmed by the kindness of his heart. They both leaned in for a friendly hug.
Suddenly, Ridge saw out of the corner of her eye, Bryant run into the back, scanning the area like a watch dog. She released quickly as he approached her.
