| *Note: The fights in this chapter are the same as the fights in the series. I’m not going through everything that happens, just the big parts. Once Gohan starts fighting, then things will change. * Lara took a cab to the tournament grounds. The driver was nicer than the last and drove almost near the ring. However, in order to get him to do that, Lara bribed him with extra money. She didn’t want to take her car out there because she figured Cell would bring her home after the tournament. She was excited to be able to see her Cell fight, and also because she hadn’t seen him since yesterday morning. The driver arrived about half a mile from the ring. Lara paid him, and then started her walk to the ring. Not long after being dropped off, Cell came into view. She smiled and started jogging the rest of the way. Cell turned around when he noticed she was there. “Take it easy, you haven’t missed anything yet,” he said. Catching her breath Lara said, “I just couldn’t wait to see you. Are you ready for the fight?” Cell smiled. “Of course.” Then he looked up towards a hill in the distance. “What is it?” Lara asked. “Looks like reporters are here.” “Do you want me to go?” “What gives you that idea?” “If they see me here that might ruin your image.” Cell laughed. “Losing would ruin my image. The fight is going to start soon, so you might want to find a place to sit.” Lara agreed. “Good luck, Cell.” Cell brushed her hair with his hand, and Lara left. She climbed up to a plateau- like hill and sat on the edge. Soon after, a black car came tearing up to the ringside and stopped. A large man with black hair got out and raised his arms. Hercule? Don’t tell me he’s going to fight Cell, Lara thought. This is going to be funny. Hercule walked to the ring and motioned for the reporter and his cameraman to come down. Lara watched and listened as Hercule made a jerk out of himself. I wonder what Cell thinks of him. Then out of nowhere, a guy with tall black hair landed next to the ring. Then one the other side of the ring a huge guy with orange hair landed. It wasn’t much longer until a whole group came flying into the scene. Lara couldn’t exactly hear what was being said, but there was a small discussion before Hercule started preparing to fight. A loud noise came from behind Lara. She looked up and saw a pink helicopter flying overhead. What the? Jumping from the chopper was a blonde guy in white spandex, a fat guy with some stupid helmet on, and a girl with bushy hair. The circus just arrived. Cell must be happy. The two newcomers senselessly fought Cell, who just flicked them away. Next, Hercule gave a shot towards Cell. Cell single-handedly knocked Hercule into a mountain. Oh yeah! Go Cell!! Lara cheered. After Hercule, a man with tall blonde hair started fighting Cell. This fight lasted a lot longer than the other three did. Lara looked on with nervousness and excitement. Cell will win. The fight moved to the air and Cell stopped. The blonde guy stopped in front of Cell, and the two seemed to be talking. Then the blonde guy started yelling something. A large blast came from Cell’s hand and blew up the ring. When Lara opened her eyes she saw a huge crater where the ring used to be. She looked around for Cell, and then found him on the ground with the other guy. Soon the two were fighting once again. The blonde guy was in the air holding his arms back, while Cell watched from the ground. A beam started forming in the guy’s hand. He disappeared, and then reappeared in front of Cell. The blast was released right in Cell’s face. Lara stood up. “Cell!” When the dust cleared, only half of Cell remained lying on the ground. Tears formed in Lara’s eyes. “Cell no!!” Suddenly Cell’s body jumped up and the top started bulging. Lara couldn’t figure out what was going on. Then the top half of Cell’s body came back, giving Lara a huge sigh of relief. She didn’t know what just happened, but she did know that Cell was still alive. The two started fighting again. Then the blonde guy started throwing thousands of small blasts at Cell. Lara held her breath. The last attack from this guy made her jumpy at anything that came at Cell. Then a huge force field-like thing surrounded Cell. The energy barrier continued to get bigger, until the blonde guy stopped shooting. The blonde guy landed on the ground and started talking to Cell. I wish I knew what he was saying, she thought. The blonde guy joined his other friends on a small mountain near the fighting grounds and seemed to be talking to some kid. Cell was still in the air. What’s going on? This new kid landed on the ground and Cell joined him. Then the kid started yelling; rocks and dust were all over the place. This kid must be fighting Cell now. Cell will beat him with no problem, I’m sure. |
