Fresh Bread for Dinner!

March 5th - 7th 2004 JURISDICTION QUADRENNIAL MEETING UNITED METHODIST WOMEN BALTIMORE, MARYLAND KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Joyce Rupp She will speak in the morning on the central theme of the meeting, (Vessels for Mission). Her focus will be: Filling Our Vessels. Some of her reflections will be based on her books: THE CUP OF OUR LIFE and OUT OF THE ORDINARY. Other books she has written are: PRAYING OUR GOODBYES, YOUR SORROW IS MY SORROW and she recently completed her first book of poems, REST YOUR DREAMS ON A LITTLE TWIG. For an insight into the heart of her writing, here is a review of this book of poetry: Joyce Rupp shares her highly personal search for growth, inner freedom, and peace in her first collection of poetry. Rupp helps us grow in spirit by encouraging us to discover the truths in our own hearts. Her poetry affirms the the inner journey and challenges the way we live our lives. She encourages us to trust our own fragile dreams for inner growth-just as a bird rests itself on a small twig and trusts it for support. In the afternoon Joyce will present and facilitate a Bible study (2 Cor 4:5-12) with the theme: Emptying Our Vessels.
There will also be informative workshops and wonderful music, as well as a Potter at work, so this promises to be a memorable experience for all who attend. Joyce Rupp speaks at conferences and retreats throughout
the United States, as well as in Canada, Australia,
Africa, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe. (Over 200 copies of her books, including THE CUP OF OUR LIFE,
