I f it is 13º Celsius, what is the temperature in Fahrenheit? If it is 55º Fahrenheit, what is the temperature in Celsius? Instead of trying to make the calculations in your head or on paper (if you know the formula), let these calculators do it for you instantly. Wind Chill is a mysterious and often misunderstood phenomenon. This calculator offers a form to calculate the wind chill factor when given the air temperature and wind speed. Both the temperature converter and the wind chill calculator are very handy little scripts to have. Never know when they might come in handy.

We have tested the code in IE6.0, Firefox1.5.0.4, Opera9.0, Netscape8.1 and AOL Explorer1.2. This script worked well in all platforms with no variations observed.

D epending on your knowledge of HTML and javascripts, this is an easy two (2) part copy and paste code that goes in both the <HEAD> and <BODY> sections of your document with minimal reconfigurations in the <BODY> section for cosmetic reasons only. Since the reconfigurations are for all intensive purposes very straight forward and to the point, we do not feel a full tutorial is needed at this point. (Just study the <BODY> section to make any changes in the font color, size and face). If you feel you need a tutorial, just contact us and we will be more that happy to design one for you.

For Your Information What is Wind Chill?     Wind Chill is the measure of the cooling effect of wind. Wind increases the rate at which a body loses heat, so the air on a windy day feels cooler than the temperature indicated by a thermometer. This heat loss can be calculated for various combinations of wind speed and air temperature and then converted to a wind chill equivalent temperature (or wind chill factor).

On A Final Note     The original script site does not archive either of these effects anymore. What we have done is incorporate both into one (1) effect as opposed to two (2) separate scripts and are archiving them for your convenience. If by chance you want just one and not both incorporated, we have the code well documented so you can select and copy and paste the portions that you want.

W e hope our tutorial (or in this case-lack of) was easy to follow and we covered everything in detail. If you would like to add this effect into your pages, grab the respective below link and you are there. If you have any problems with this or anything else, feel free to consult our FAQ ] and if you can't find the answer there, contact us ].

For Your Information For your Information:     On the page you Get Code Here ], there will be two (2) separate copy and paste <BODY> sections of code. Reason being is that we have configured one for a dark page with the colors as you see in our example at the top of the page and the second copy and paste code has been configured for a light (white) page with black font. If you would like to see how that would look, Click Here  ] for that example.
