This is a cool effect to add to your site. The window will pop up and after a certain number of seconds (which you can set) it goes away. You can leave your own message or greeting for your visitors to see as they enter your site. Depending on your knowledge of HTML and Java scripts, this is an easy effect to add to your site. It is a one step "Copy & Paste" process right into your document. The script does not really specify where to paste this script. We have it in the <BODY> section of this document. There are really only a few reconfigurations to do to set this up on your site. You can change the background color of the pop-up window, change how many seconds before the window vanishes put your own message on the window and change font size and color.
Note
The default background color in the window is light green. You do not need to use hex codes on this if you do not want to. Also to change the timer the seconds are in denominations of 1000, in other words 1000 equals 1 second, 2000 equals 2 seconds etc. Just Click Me if you want this script. If you have any problems with this feel free to contact me.
The little section of script below where you see the yellow words, "no", you can also change that to "yes" to add the attributes that are at default not added to operate or show. The "violet" numbers you can also reconfigure. They are what size the pop up window will be set at on opening
config='toolbar=no,location=no,directories=no,
status=no,menubar=no,width=200,
height=150'
config += 'scrollbars=no,resizable=no'
pop.document.write(';",6000)');
pop.document.write('');
pop.document.write('script>');
pop.document.write('<body bgcolor=black>');
pop.document.write('<center><b><h2>Your Message Here</h2></b></center>');
pop.document.write('<center><b><h3>Your Message Here</h3></b></center>');
pop.document.write('<center><b><h6>Your Message Here</h6></b></center>');
pop.document.write('</body>');
Explanation Of Color Codes
6000    This number represents how many seconds before the pop up window closes automatically
body bgcolor=black    This represents the background color of the page the pop up will show up.
<h2>   </h2>These represent the font size of the particular line of text.
One last point in the reconfigurations is if you want to change the color of a certain line of text you need to wrap it with an opening and closing font tag. Below is an example of how it is done.
<font color="yellow">YOUR MESSAGE HERE</font>
