Pie           PI Machine           Washing Machine

T he Pi Machine will calculate the surface area and volume of cones, spheres or cylinders of any dimensions as well as circle circumference and surface areas.

W e have tested the code in IE5.5, IE6.0, Netscape4.08, Opera7.23, Netscape7.02, Firefox1.5.0.4, Opera9.0, Netscape8.1 and AOL Explorer1.2.. This script worked well in all platforms with the exception of Netscape4.08, Firefox1.5.0.4, Netscape7.02 and Netscape8.1 where it will "Not" work. It does degrade well and you will not get any eror messages.

D epending on your knowledge of HTML and java script, this is an easy, two (2) part copy and paste code with minimal(cosmetic) reconfigurations, if any. The first part goes in the <HEAD> section of your document (no reconfigurations) and the second part goes in the <BODY> section of your document. The only reconfigurations that can be made (optional) in this section are cosmetic. The font color of the text within the "Pi Machine" outside of the computed answer will be the color that is preset within your <BODY> tag of your document. See Below:

</head>
<body bgcolor="#000000" text="#??????*" link="#fff8dc" alink="#fff8dc" vlink="#fff8dc">

*    In reference to the above, you can replace the ?????? with a six digit HEX code if you want to change the font color within the "Pi Machine" (Except for the computed answer). Remember, if you do this, all the font within your document will also change unless you define the individual text outside the "Pi Machine".

A n easier and probably more effective way to change the main font color within the "Pi Machine" would be to add a complete font tag inside the <table>. See Below:

<table align=center border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<font face="georgia,arial,helvetica"size="3"color="#??????">

<p>Round to <select size="1" id="rounding">

T he last reconfiguration that can be made is to the font color of the computed answer. This is separate from the above part so you need to add another complete font tag in the below location also.

</td></tr></table></font>

<font face="georgia,arial,helvetica"size="3"color="#??????">
<p id=showfield align="center"></p></font>

N otice the two above closing </font> tags. Remember, you placed two complete font tags within the script so you need to close both of them.
