Churches Our lady of Victory ~ Plattsburg St. Anne's Church in Mooers Forks founded in the 1860's, next to this church is the Mooers Union Cemetery. This picture was taken by Martha Carter. St. John's Church ~ Plattsburg St. John's Church was established in 1822. Records begin in 1830 and consist of both French and Irish parishioners. ~ Contributed by Amy Schneider ~ St Pierre's Chuch ~ St Peter's Church ~ Plattsburg St. Pierre ( St Peter's) was established in Plattsburg in 1853, and was built to serve the needs of the French. St. Peter's had a mission in Dannemora and served those involved in the Dannemora prison that had been built in 1845. ~ Contributed by Amy Schneider ~

Towns & People Galaise Family Home ~ 1925 ~ Margaret Street This house is located on Margaret Street. The building no longer exists. It most probably was Francis Galaise's house at 150 Margaret St. You can see three unidentified ladies sitting on the gallery. Francis Galaise died in 1925; the picture was probably taken at about this same time. Dennis Gonyea Home ~ Lyon Mountain, NY The date on the picture is 1919. Dennis Gonyea lived in Lyon Mountain, NY, which is due west of Dannemora, pretty close to the Franklin County line. Plattsburgh~ Officer's Quarters ~ Plattsburgh Barracks
