BELOVED SON OF:
ANDREW & LOUANN JACKSON

BELOVED BROTHER OF:
ANDREW & JAMES

This is a memorial dedicated to our son and brother, Matthew Joseph. Matthew is the middle of our 3 son's.  What a wonderful family my husband and I were blessed with.  Matthew was born on May 14,1981.  What a beautiful baby. You were such a cuddlier. How we loved to hold you and watch those beautiful blue eyes concentrate on your surroundings.

As with all children you were growing like a bad weed.  The day we put you on the bus for kindergarten, I fought back the tears as I watched you with great excitement board the bus with your big rother, Andrew.   Andrew kept a watchful eye over you.

Our 3 son's were so close in age, what a joy watching all the first's.  The day that James started kindergarten, it was your turn to be big brother, oh how proud you were. From that day on Our 3 son's were forming a bond, as brothers do who are so close in age.

We had so many wonderful times as a family. Winter brought many days in the yard sled riding and drinking hot chocolate to warm up.  Your little arms could sure throw a snow ball.  The Spring brought the joy of going out doors, planting flowers, going for walks, and of course your favorite, fishing.  The summer with the picnic's, family gatherings, and swimming.  You loved the water, and how you worried us when you would go out just a little to far, and when we would yell for you to come back, you would look at us with that precious smile, and act as though you didn't hear us.  Then Daddy would have to come and get you.  Fall in our area is so beautiful, those walks in the woods always took a little longer because we would stop and gather the most pretty leaves so you could take them to school.

~MATTHEW - KINDERGARTEN~

Sunday's were the day we spent worshiping.  Oh your little heart was so full of love for Jesus. How proud you made us learning each and every Bible verse and your pictures of Jesus that you colored are one of our special treasures.  The last week of your life was spent in Bible School.  I can't think of a more special place for us to be.  The program at Bible School graduation was so very special our 3 son's along with the other children telling the congregation of the love of Jesus and singing songs.  These are memories that are forever sealed in our heart.

Matthew your life was so short, but the love you shared in your 8 years is worth more than any position we could ever own. You were the type of little boy that would reach out for a hug and say "I love you" with out wanting anything in return. Your smile would melt the heart of anyone you met.

The day God called you home, we lost a precious part of each of us. It has taken time to learn to go on without you.  We all have our own way of remembering you.  Your love is alive in each of us, and we hold you memory within us with joy, because that is what you gave us.  Some day our little angel we will again hear the words"I love you", and what a wonderful day this will be because never will we be parted again for our home will be in Heaven with you FOREVER.

~CHILD GONE HOME~
~Author Unknown~

~MATTHEW ~ 6 MONTHS OLD~

Children's voices fill the air,
Life and laughter ring,
across the hills of Heaven,
small, sweet voices sing.

Gone to be with Jesus,
each little girl and boy,
now run and play as never before,
In the land of eternal joy.

Never to know another tear,
or face another pain;
what was a senseless loss on earth,
has now become Heaven's gain.

While Heaven is much sweeter,
in your heart you'll not be alone;
God filled it with memories of laughter and love,
of that child who has now gone home.

~DEAR CHILD IN HEAVEN~
~Author Unknown~

You were a blessing to us all,
You were a special child,
And we're so glad God sent you
To be with us for awhile

You filled our home with happiness
And made our life complete
The time we had with you
Was far too short, but oh so sweet

Some things we don't find easy
To accept or understand
'Till we realize they're part of
Our Creator's perfect plan

Now it comforts us to know
You're with the angels up above,
While in our hearts we hold you close
Surrounded by our love

~WIND BENEATH MY WINGS~
~Bette Midler~

It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked one step behind.
So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strain.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.
It may have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth,
of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.
Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away.  You let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touched the sky.
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.
