Amano is an upperclassman at Hitomi's high school and the track star. She has a huge crush on him, but is afraid to tell him how she feels. Then, according to her best friend Yukari, who is secretly in love with him too, Hitomi finds out that he is going to leave Japan to go study abroad. Don't ask me where that is? Europe, the US? What's abroad to Japan? China? Oh well, anyway, before he leaves Hitomi challenges him that if she can run 100 meters in 13 seconds, he shall give her her first kiss. He accepts, and well, you all know what happens after that. So really,we can kinda credit the whole series to him ^_^ Somehow, he just happens to look and sound exactly like Allen. No wonder why Hitomi likes Allen so much. Or does she like Amano because he looks like Allen? What is with Hitomi's taste? Van's the best, you fool!!!!!! Ahem, sorry about that. Like Allen though, he does not end up with Hitomi, but unlike Allen, he ends up with Millerna's terran counterpart, Yukari, who he spent a lot of time with while Hi-baka was missing. What's going to happen with them now that he's going to move, I have know idea. But as I say in almost every section (as I realized recently) C'est la vie!
