Griffins are not exactly a confusing a creature, but they are often lost in a messy, disgusting stew of myths and just straight-out lies. Even though I know little about these wonderful beasts, I’d like to separate some truths from myths.
To get the ball rolling, the most wonderful thing about them is the fact that they’re physically and mentally two different sorts of animals. They are half bird of prey and half wild cat. In the eagle/lion griffin example, the body would be in the form of a strong, muscular lion, the neck and head forming one of an eagle’s, and long, huge eagle wings. This would be giving them the strength and speed of of a lion, and the thinking power, cleverness and ability of flight of the eagle. Quite an ability to possess, if you ask me.
Griffins started off just like dragons, as the simplest way possible—energy. Just sort of floating energies, such as light and sound. As time went by they evolved into a higher being, just as the dragons did. However for two races so closely relates, they are great enemies. And the perfect battle match, for both have the ability to fly and magicks taken from the earth, atmosphere and space.
Where to find a griffin is unknown and untold. And even if I knew, I would not tell a human being, as I don’t trust them. But I do not know. I can imagine that they may live in a far off world, even a new universe or different dimension—who knows? Not me. And I don’t expect or ever want to know. Because then I should not be able to tell the location or so, and I don’t want to have that responsibility. So just know that they exist and be happy with this little information. But some things are not meant to be known. Such as life…
