Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane, &
Lammas.
These are the Cross Quarter
days-
the time of greatest power.
The Solstices and Equinoxes are
the
Lesser Sabbats.
These are the hinges at the
turning
of the Wheel of the Year.
Samhain:
We honor the Ancestors:
Ancestors of the Land where
we live,
Ancestors of our Spiritual Tradition,
Ancestors of our Blood Lineage;
We remember
our Beloved Dead.
Samhain:
Winter Solstice/Yule:
We celebrate the birth of the
Sun
the return of Light!
We recognize the ever returning
cycles
in our own lives.

Imbolc:
We sense the early stirrings
of the spring to come.
This is the festival of the
great
Triple Goddess, Brighid,
Goddess of Poetry, Healing and
Smithing,
Goddess of the Well and of Fire!

Spring Equinox:
A moment of perfect balance -
day and night, dark and light.
We seek balance and harmony
in our own lives.
Spring

Beltane:
We celebrate the sacred mating
of the God and Goddess;
We dance the Maypole & jump
the Bonfire!
We laugh and love,
play and feast!

Summer Solstice/
MidSummer:
Crops are planted, flowers are
in bloom.
The Sun is at its height of
power,
and begins to wane.
The Oak King gives way to the
Holly King.

Lughnasadh/Lammas:
First Harvest, of grain.
We give thanks for the harvest.
We mourn the death of Lugh,
god of grain,
the Green God.
We know he will rise again in
the springtime,
and we rejoice.
Lammas:
Autumn Equinox:
The time of balance
between dark and light, day
and night.
Dark begins to overcome light
-
we look within.
We celebrate Second Harvest,
of fruits and berries.
