A Brush With Greatness

TINO HAS SPOKEN WITH GRAND HIGH KING GONZO THE GREAT AMAZING AND ALL POWERFUL! AS WELL AS SIR UNIT THE BIG! AS WELL AS...SIR SCHILLING! AS WELL AS....STEVE....FINLEY....YEAH.

This experience was so dramatic, and Tino was so overwhelmed by the man, he has no memory of what was said during the meeting. All he knows is Sir Unit the Big is tall. Let it be known that standing 5 feet away from these men can bring on seizures, strokes, memory loss, and hearing their voice is much too great an experience for any mortal man and will cause death and extreme glee.

In other news, the chorus sung "awsomely", so that's cool. In fact, there was dead silence for most of it.

In other baseball news, Clemens the ass may have hit Bonds on purpose to get out of pitching at Shea. He must now be killed twice. We will find a way to do this!

Wise WOrds On The DH

For some teams it is indeed a disadvantage, because they have worse-hitting pitchers than other teams. In other news, teams without a Bonds are less advantaged than teams with a Bonds. That's baseball.

Classic Roger Clemens

Clemens pitched in the Yankee game today against the Giants, and Emperor Bonds was MOST displeased. Hit by a pitch, walked not once, not twice, but thrice....INTENTIONALLY!...and then once more. Please note the fourth ball here was also intentional. That gives Bonds...ZERO at bats.

"I'm not here to entertain people, I'm here to try to win ballgames," Yankees manager Joe Torre said. "I said we'll pitch to him, but if there's a base open and the game is in the balance, I'm walking him."

On another note, this saturday is cannon ball day at Shea, with Sean Estes slated to pitch against "Roger the Dodger" ( - Dusty Baker).

Finally...Home Again

Left baseball game at 4:30. Got home at 7:30. Decided it's not likely I'll feel like going to Queens for baseball again anytime soon. Went to Shari's 8:30ish. Left Shari's for B&N 9:30ish. Found carnival 9:40ish, went there instead. Wasted all money shortly thereafter.

Got back to Shari's 11ish. Left Shari's 12ish. Went back to Shari's 12:01ish after discovering flat tire. Called mom 12:02. Mom called back 12:03. Went to bed at Shari's 12:10. Shari stumbled over to my bed from her's 1ish. Smiles ensued. Despite not doing anything in bed, fell asleep 2ish. Woke up 5ish, went back to sleep. Again at 7ish. 7:30 dad arrives to change tire.

Is now 2ish. I'm tired.

For A Change Of Pace...Most Pleased

Yeah....the weeks has been better of late.

Wednesday was me finding out I can still field, and that I can't play spades. Note to self, learn spades. That stint in the park (it was way too hot....and I forgot how overpriced everything is) was follwed by an awards giving out thing (read: I can't spell ceremony...or at least don't trust that spelling)...which was long and dull. but names were yelled, so amusement was had.

Thursday featured the beating of the pathetic excuse for a "Weapon" or 2 in FF10. Wow they sucked. Eventually Shari came over, and then my mom made meatloaf. You know, that's the best part about being home from college. Meatloaf. That was the best dinner I've had in ages...and for lunch tomorrow, it's more meatloaf! Nice! Other things happened after that and fun was had by all...yeah...

Oh well. I grow tired. After I finish recieving my raping from Erica in Literari or whatever Yahoo's bootleg Scrabble is called, I'm going to sleep. Night all.

MOST Displeased

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING SECTION SPEAKS OF THE ENDING TO FF10, AS WELL AS OTHER PARTS OF THE GAME! TO READ, JUST HIGHLIGHT THE BLACK BOX, AND THE TEXT SHOULD APPEAR.

Okay, if you're reading this, no yelling at me for ruining the ending for you, okay? Okay. Final Fantasy 10. At first, a seemingly excelent game. A great battle system. The leveling is awkward at first, and some people would complain that everyone can do everything, but all in all, it works and nobody really learns everything unless you have WAY too much time. I think the game is also an excellent critique on religion. Yevon is SO the Catholic church. Mika says at one point, something like "You have to do it this way or you'll disturb the order! It's been this way for 1000 years! You can't change that!" Dude, that's the middle ages! There's a lot of this as you go along, and I thought it worked. Of course, there are a few things that make little sense. Like all the dead people. Why can't your party be killed and them come back? why does Auron get sent at the end dispite the fact that, even if you do nothing to him the entire game, everyone has Auto-life (think Life 3 in FF6) in the last battle? Why can you go into the Far Plane later and have Auron with you when you go out? Whatever Major gripe #1: THE OVERWORLD! Or lack thereof. That was the ghettoest overworld ever. Bringing me to gripe 2 The Airship. Gripe 3 while we're at it, Chocobos. No overworld meant ghetto systems for these. The airship in and of itself was cool though. Also sucking....in the game where Water is a major element of black magic.....Leviathan. Really now. Why couldn't he be in here? WHY!? I'm busy now, so I'll leave with this final thought. THEY CALL THAT A FINAL BOSS?!? Now with more free time and having completed the last major area of the game, more ranting. Take note the above was posted Wednesday night (11pm) and this is being posted Friday morning (1 am) Right....the final boss. The last part of the game involves you fighting your summoned monsters. YOU GET AUTO LIFE ON YOUR ENTIRE PARTY FOR EVERY ONE! WAY TOO EASY! As if that's not enough for you, YOU GET IT FOR THE FINAL BOSS! The final boss consists of two pedistals that charge his overdrive gauge and heal him a little (rarely do use black magic on you) and regenerate, and this little black thing. The black thing is the boss. It does all of 3 things....Counter attacks with Curaga for 9999 on itself, uses Gravija (you lose 75% of your HP or something), and on one rare occation, it used Ultima...which the game was nice enough to have auto-lifed me for. The stratagy here? ULTIMA to take out the 2 side enemies, whack whack whack whack...ULTIMA cause they regenerated...whack whack whack...repeat as necesary. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT? PLUS THE MUSIC SUCKED! YOU KNOW WHO'S A HARDER ENEMY? THAT GUY WHO USES BAD BREATH! THE GREATER MALBORRO SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FINAL BOSS OVER THIS 99999 HP WUSS! Speaking of wusses, how about Ultima weapon! He sucked! You know who sucked very slighty less? Omega Weapon! You know what else, THEY'RE BOTH IN THE SAME DAMN PLACE! Atma Weapon was harder than these fucks. ATMA WEAPON! THE FIRST TIME! And yes, I said fucks. Emerald and Ruby weapons own these guys.

Fall Classes

And thus my fall schedule is set...Whether or not the free Friday afternoons will be worthwhile is yet to be seen.
