    Another Reason Republicans Suck

    http://www.nytimes.com/2002/05/05/international/05TRIB.html
    That's a link to the NYTimes article on this matter.

    In any case, this has to be said. This court is a good idea! Think about it, any and all true assholes in a war would be prosectued through this court. An international one at that. No arguments over who's citizens got murdered, who's laws would we use for the trail, what nationality would the judge be...just one Uber Supreme Court. It's the obvious next step from the UN. First the general organization of countries to agree to be peaceful and such, then the general organization to...well...be a court room.

    Reasons (given in the Times article) for not joining look a lot like text book reasons for not joining the League of Nations back in the day. We'll lose soverignty, they'll use it against us...etc. I just don't like it. Do we want to go back to doing nothing and watching Europe and the rest of the world anihilate each other? Is this what the last standing super power should be doing? NO!

    We should be in there helping to create this court. One really good reason for us to join is the current situation in the Middle East. If we don't join now, you know what's going to happen? We'll go on accusing leaders like Sadaam Husein and Osama Bin-Ladin of doing horrible things, and when we go in and finally capture them, whatch the Politcal uproar that will come out of Europe when we try to subject them to American Law.

    Just watch...

    Spider-Man, Spider-Man, Mass Destruction Across The Land...

    Okay, maybe that was the bomber man comercial, but who cares, it's fun to sing.

    The movie, quite simply, rocked. For the 5 of you reading this who haven't already seen it, I suggest you do. It's what would happen if you put Star Wars lines with Matrix effects and Batman music...and they all rock. STory progresses at a good clip, and I hear that Holywood actually managed *gasp* to be mostly accurate to the comics! WOW! I was also told "The Stan" appeared in the movie.

    So yeah...music good (somebody find out who wrote the music, it has to be the same guy as batman), story good, computer animation and effects good...what more can you ask for?...okay, nobody answer that, although half of you will probably see something in the movie to satisfy you for now. I've got computer graphical user interface stuff to attend to, so later guys.

    Thanks to everyone who sent me their well wishes. Most notably Shari for the ecard and Reiser for Thwack!
    Have I mentioned enough on this site that you should go read Thwack?

    Yadda Yadda Yadda

    I have 10 minutes before history and nothing good to do with them...that means you guys suffer. After all, you're reading this.

    I just had a CS test. All pretty easy stuff...but by the bature of his tests I know there's something I probably missed. I almost said a program worked perfectly when the main method read {
    new MyClass( "Hello" );
    new MyClass( "World" );

    Unless there's some other crazy rule about threads being declared and ran like that which I don't know about, that shouldn't work at all. There was one other trouble spot...I'm guessing I got 37ish out of the 46.

    Oh well...the other thing on my mind of late:

    DAYS LEFT UNTIL I RETURN HOME!

    Also notice we're now in May, all things will be well today.

    Oh! Happy Birthday Jesse Powell....okay, so I know he won't read this, but it's the thought, right?

    I must be off! Kaylani gets annoyed when people are late, and I have 2 minutes to get there. Later!

    MY NEW FAVORITE WEB SITE

    A Day...That Will Be Remembered...By Sophs and Froshes...For All Eternity

    Saturday Night I saw Sing.

    First Junior Sing went on. First they had step, then someone got shot. Then another dance and the town said they had a new sheriff (by the way, it was a western.) Then they danced. Then the Sheriff went to meet his deputy...then they danced...then they arested someone, and did something else before step danced again. Then they had tap dancing. Do you see a pattern forming here?

    The whole show can be described as "SEAN BRANDT IS JUNIOR SING!" The Orchestra was Danny Leveine. Everything else was either sub par or Average....even the dancing (although they DID have a wall flip).

    Next came on Soph Frosh. After the first half of their show,

    WOW!

    They sung, they danced, they did lots of cool shit. Of course....their rock band was average (didn't screw up but didn't do anything really cool), their orchestra was really out of tune. The plot started okay, but then you needed to know who was who and you didn't and all the twists were too confusing. But damn it was good.

    There was even this one guy, El Doctor, who rocked. He was always running around demanded people kneel to him....he was the stuck up guy who got no respect from anybody. He was good.
    Oh, their plot was a murder mystery combined with a plot of domination of the food industry through soup, crackers, and SAUSAGE!

    Senior Sing. The rock band rocked, the orchestra was great, and the set was better than the rest (it had Ms Pac-Man on it, come on). The plot wasn't overly simple like the Juniors (if you can call that a plot), and wasn't overly complicated like SophFrosh. The main problem I had with the script was addressed (the Germans weren't overly anti-anyone), Fabreezio rocked more than anyone could have expected (Wilson and Jose say this character was based on Jose, due to the mass of Yo Mama jokes), and they had more funny little things than the other 2.

    Following Sing, there was a Grand victory Celebration. And who is that in the middle of the picture in a cowboy hat other than....WILSON! Sorry, I don't know anybody else in there that I can make out.

    So yes, the Seniors won with ease, no contest. In second....Soph-Frosh. Poor Juniors in last. All in all, an enjoyable time was had at Sing!, especially since they went on Juniors, Soph-Frosh, Seniors, so it got progressively better. I'm off to spell check this. Later guys.
