Bio:

~Full name: David Scott Foley

~Birthday: January 4, 1963

~Height: 5'9"

~Hair colour: During his KitH and NewsRadio days it was dark blonde/brown, and I've also noticed that it was a nice shade of red in some NewsRadio episodes. He has it bleached blonde now and I personally think it looks great. Very mature-looking.

~Eye colour: Absolutely beautiful baby blue.

~Dave was married to Tabitha Southey, {They met at a bar when he was 20 and she was underage --- 17 ; ) She was on a date with his friend, and the two began to argue over whether or not Richard Butler of The Psychedelic Furs was a good singer} but the couple divorced in 1997. I do not know the details of their relationship, but I think it's better left private. I do know that they remain friends and travel together with their 2 young sons, Edmund (Ned) and Basil Patrick. Dave became involved with singer/performer Crissy Guerrero a couple years ago, and they are now engaged.

Background:

Dave was born in 1963 to parents Michael and Mary Foley. He has a brother and a sister. He is considered to be the cutest "Kid", and he is also regarded as the best-looking woman on the show! Dave dropped out of an alternative high school at the age of 18. He took some comedy classes and did standup for a while. This is where he met Kevin McDonald, another founding member of "The Kids in the Hall".

Dave's Favourites:

~Dave's favourite TV shows include "Green Acres", "South Park", "Upright Citizens Brigade", and "Mr. Show"

~His favourite food is steak, and his favourite drinks are coffee and beer.

~Dave's favourite bands are The Barenaked Ladies, REM, The Odds, Aimee Mann, Sloan, and The Killjoys.

~His pick for Most Romantic Video Rental: Sense and Sensibility. I quote him, "Yes, I cried. And Truly Madly Deeply. If you're at the video store, get it again."

Other Dave stuff:

~Dave has a caffeine addiction and drinks about 50 cups of black coffee per day.
~Dave says green is his favourite colour "because it is soothing and calms the heart".
~A few of Dave's hobbies include electronics (his 61" TV set and collection of DVDs/laserdiscs are his favourites), taking 3D photos, and spending time with his kids. (aww!)
~As a child, Dave had a cat named Duchess, after the cat from "The Aristocats"
~Dave wears size 11EE shoes.
~He is uncomfortable talking about sex, and was apparently very nervous before doing his nude scenes in From the Earth to the Moon and Monkeybone. (Well I think that's cute *g*)
~Dave has described himself to be a "puritanical atheist".
~He apparently has pet ferrets.
~Dave dropped out of high school when he was 18 (not knowing at the time that he was dyslexic) but it obviously hasn't stopped him from becoming a wonderful actor, comedian, and father, now has it? (Also, he is a very, very, VERY intelligent man)
~Dave has been said to have the face of a college student, and he has been quoted saying "Since my humour tends to be a little on the dark side, a little morbid ... my innocent 'visage' has made it a little easier for me to get away with things that maybe some of the other Kids couldn't have gotten away with. I could say some pretty horrible things, and everyone would say 'Aww, look at the cute axe murderer !'"

Dave movies I own/have seen (in order of which I saw them):

-Three Men and a Baby
-South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut
-Blast from the Past
-Dick
-A Bug's Life
-Brain Candy
-Monkeybone
-From the Earth to the Moon
-It's Pat

-Same Guys, New Dresses: The KitH Tour 2000 Documentary

My take on Mr. Foley:

Dave is my favourite actor. It used to be because he is so darn cute, but now, after I have read interviews and articles and got to know more about him, I have found that I really appreciate his sense of humour and his acting style. He's also very smart. And, unlike his clean-cut, straight-man character on NewsRadio, Dave has his "evil" side (In response to the question "Do you Yahoo?", Dave said plainly "Only in the privatist moments of ecstacy."). Read my favourite interviews with him here and here. I've never met him, but hope to someday get an autograph (and maybe...a hug?) from that Canadian boy I love so much.
