Camp Belger / Belger Barracks

We went from Pokeepsie to Baltimore & encamped for the winter at Camp Belcher.
We guarded the city and drilled while there.
” – David Howard, Co. I, 150th New York

The firm of E. Sachse & Co. produced at least eight different lithographs or etchings of Camp Belger / Belger Barracks in Baltimore, Maryland, during 1862 and 1863. These lithographs or etchings ostensibly portrayed five different regiments (based at Belger at various times), but there was a little bit of “recycling” in the use of images.
