BABY BOOTIES PATTERN

Using double ended needles:  Size depends on what size you want to make

Cast on 10 Stitches

Knit 40 rows

Pick up 20 stitches on long side, 10 stitches on short end, 20 stitches on other long side

Purl 4 rounds

Knit 4 rounds

Purl 4 rounds

Knit 4 rounds

Purl 4 rounds

Working across short end: 

*Knit 9, Knit 2 together, Turn

 Purl 9, Purl 2 together, Turn

Repeat last 2 rows 

Purl 9, Purl 2 together, Turn

Knit 9, Knit 2 together, Turn

Repeat last 2 rows

Repeat from *

Knit 9, Knit 2 together, Turn

Purl 9, Purl 2 together, Turn

Repeat 2 rows

Knit 1, Purl 1, for 3 rounds

Knit 1, Purl 1, Yarn Over, Purl 2 together for 1 round

Knit 1, Purl 1, for 3 Rounds

Purl 22 rounds

Bind off.

To make for a girl I crotchet a lace edge after binding off.  

If you use large needles you can make these for adults also.
