Ramblings of a mad man can sometimes make sense……
One day in class the teacher was talking about how women we being viewed as material or property and that is the reason for abuse in relationships.
Well I first would like to
make it clear I am not a women’s rights fanatic, but I do believe that they
have as much right as any man.
I do believe with every day that passes and every time a commercial airs women are slowly degraded to objects and property that is able to be owned. Every time a commercial is on the air it usually has some sexual connotation or some type of subliminal message to women that they are not to speak out unless spoken too they to not have the right to speak their mind. But worse of all it makes women think that they are not good enough or they are not beautiful and that’s why the market for clothes and makeup and beauty “essentials” are so high. Well, now truth be told that women are beautiful no matter what.
In my
eyes beauty is not only through the body but they are also beautiful through
the mind, the soul and the emotions as well.
So I don’t know why women are so preoccupied with trying to look
beautiful because if they have a beautiful heart an intelligent mind and a
caring heart then it matter not what the looked like on the outside.
Again
I am not a professor or a professional, and I admit that I don’t know
everything but I am just speaking from my heart and my mind.
The
commercials on T.V. or ads in magazines always show belittlement towards
women. It shows that women are weak
(which they are not), it showed that women are unimportant (which again they
are not), but worst of all it personifies women as sex object which I really despise. Not only does it hurt women it also hurts
men, there are always those “men” who are the epitome of the male “I am the
best/I am the king” ego, which I unfortunately have to live in the same hall as
they do. These “men” make women weary
of other men whom may be harmless. I
know this because I am a man, and for the most part I am harmless but people
think I still am a traditional and regular male.
Please to all people young and old treat each other with respect!
