This is the Au Sable River in Upstate New York, my favorite fishing spot! Here is one of the most beautiful spots in the U.S. (In the summertime) Whiteface Mountain The logo of the Delaware & Hudson RR. A place where I spent the summers of my youth aiding my Grandpa Davies move the freight The old D&H Frieght Station in Au Sable Forks, New York. It is now a deli called "The D&H Freighthouse Eatery", run by Denise and Geno Potter. Great food and great ambiance!
This is Lyon Mountain, NY, near the school. Down this road about 10 miles is my home town, Standish, New York, population about 150, including several dogs and cats. Iron mine. Under that hill of iron slag is my uncle's house. The pile moved, the house didn't. Fort Blunder. So named because after we had a bit of trouble with the French in Quebec the U.S. built a fort to guard our boundary. Problem was it was two miles inside the Canadian border and now belongs to Canada. We did a little better here. This is Fort Ticonderoga. We still own this one.
A look at a favorite Vermont product. Maple Syrup being gathered. Vermont covered bridge. Ice fishing on Lake Champlain..Now I don't know about this type of activity. I'd rather watch a good football game at home! A picture of Standish, NY, my Home Town! It doesn't get any better than this!
