The old D&H Frieght Station in Au Sable Forks, New York. It is now a deli called "The D&H Freighthouse Eatery", run by Denise and Geno Potter. Great food and great ambiance!

This is Lyon Mountain, NY, near the school. Down this road about 10 miles is my home town, Standish, New York, population about 150, including several dogs and cats.

Iron mine. Under that hill of iron slag is my uncle's house. The pile moved, the house didn't.

Fort Blunder. So named because after we had a bit of trouble with the French in Quebec the U.S. built a fort to guard our boundary. Problem was it was two miles inside the Canadian border and now belongs to Canada.

We did a little better here. This is Fort Ticonderoga. We still own this one.
