Emotions- CHAPTER TWENTY THREE
"Get out" AJ said angirly.
The doctor spoke again, "I'm very sorry sir. But at least..."
AJ shouted this tme, "I said get out!!! Let me be alone with me be alone with my wife."
"I know you're upset." the doctor said, "However, there are a few things I'd like to discuss with you."
"Are you deaf or something?" AJ asked, "I want you to get the fuck out. Stupid son of a bitch..."
AJ grabbed the doctor by the throat and shoved him into the hall causing one of the windows to break.
Kevin and Anne came running over just as security was coming.
"What happend honey?" Anne asked.
"He said that Adrianne is paralized." AJ cried out.
Kevin and Anne began to fill up.
Anne spoke to AJ again, "Alex it's gonna be ok. Adrianne is alive. That's the most important thing. Besides, doctors never know what's going n half the time anyway. And if Adrianne is paralized, she's gonna need all of our love and support."
A cop came over to AJ, "You're gonna have to leave right now."
"Fuck you." AJ said.
The cop became angry and took out his handcuffs. Kevin stoped him.
"Can I ask you a question?" Kevin asked.
"Sure" the cop replied.
Kevin continued, "Are you married?"
"Yes" the cop answered.
"How would you feel if a doctor just told you your wife would never walk again?" Kevin said.
"I'd be pissed." the cop said.
"Well now you know how my brother-in-law feels" Kevin said.
AJ went back into Adrianne's room. He kissed her hand gently. His tears dropped onto her arm.
Suddenly, he felt Adrianne squeeze his hand. AJ looked up and saw Adrianne slowy open her eyes.
"Alex?" Adrianne said softly.
"I'm right here baby." AJ said.
"You look like shit!" Adrianne replied.
AJ laughed, "Well not sleeping for a week will do that to someone."
"Is that how long I've been asleep?" Adrianne asked, "What happend?"
"You don't remember?" AJ said.
"No, not really." Adrianne said, "All I remember is Angel running into the middle of the road and I went after her. After that it's all blank."
"Well" AJ said, "You saved Angel's life. You pushed her out of the road and got hit by a car. But you're gonna be ok."
"Good" Adrianne said, "So now can I get these fuckin tubes outta me?"
A nurse came in and removed the tubes and machines.
"I'll go tell everyone you're awake." the nurse said.
"No" Adrianne replied, "I wanna tell them."
"I'll go get the wheelchair." AJ said.
"I don't need a wheelchair." Adrianne told him. She slowly got out of bed and walked toward the door.
"Oh my god!" AJ said, almost falling off the chair, "You're walking!"
"Duh" Adrianne said, "Why wouldn't I be?"
"The doctor said you were paralized." AJ told her.
Adrianne laughed, "Well obviously I'm not. C'mon lets go."
"You'll still have to ride down in a wheelchair." the nurse explained, "It's a hospital rule."
Adrianne agreed. AJ went a little bit ahead.
"Hey everyone." AJ said, "I've got a suprize for you."
The nurse wheeled Adrianne into the room. Everyone gasped.
"MOMMY!"Angel shouted as she jumped into Adrianne's lap.
"Careful sweetie." Elizabeth said.
"It's ok." Adrianne said, "Hi Angel."
"Mommy you all better now?" Angel asked.
"Of course I am." Adrianne replied, "I love you so much. And thank you for the drawings. They're very pretty."
"Your welcome." Angel said.
Everyone took turns hugging and talking to Adrianne. P. Diddy was even there.
"Hey girl," P. Diddy said, handing Adrianne a boquet of flowers., "I'm glad you're feeling better."
"Thanks Sean." Adrianne said, "I'm sorry about the video shoot."
"Don't worry about it. The most important thing is that you're ok."
Adrianne smiled, "Well, now I have a suprize for all of you."
She placed the flowers on a nearby table and stood up.
Adrianne walked over to Kevin (who was at the end of the room) and gave him a hug.
Kevin began to cry, "I can't beleive it!"
A doctor came in and gased sightly, "I don't get it. The test confirmed that she was paralized."
"This is a miracle." the nurse said, "Someone up there must be looking out for her."
"Yeah." Kevin said, loking up, "Thanks Dad"
