Emotions-CHAPTER TEN
Everyone rushed into the hospital as fast as they could.
"Excuse me," AJ said to a receptionist, "My daughter is sick. Her temperature is 101. She needs to see a doctor right now."
"Have a seat in the waiting room." the receptionist said.
"MAYBE YOU DIDN'T HEAR ME!" AJ shouted, "I said my daughters tempature is 101 degrees."
"I heard you sir." the receptionist said, "Now if you'll have a seat in the waiting roo, I'll let you know when a doctor can see your daughter."
"It'll be ok." Adrianne said to AJ as she held onto Angel, "Angel is gonna be fine."
"Mommy" Angel said softly.
Everyone was so happy Angel learned to say a new word.
"Can I hold Angel for awhile?" Nick asked.
"Sure" Adrianne said, handing Angel to Nick.
Nick sat down and rocked Angel back and forth. He sang to her and the two of them watched tv together.
"I got you some apple juice." Nick said as he handed her a little pink cup.
As soon as Angel drank the juice though, she threw it back up.
Nick handed Angel to AJ, "I'm sorry. Now she's even more sick. I'm so dumb."
"No you're not." AJ said, "It's ok, really. Angel, give Uncle Nick a hug."
Angel reaced for Nick and wrapped her little arms around his neck.
"Aww" Nick said. "I love you sweetie. I hope you feel better soon."
"Cancel it." AJ said to one of their managers as he talked to them on a cell phone, "Yes.. I'm serious! Either cancel it or do it without me. Screw you!! My daughter is more important."
After two and a half hours, Angel was finally able to see a doctor.
"It seems that Angel has a touch of the flu that's been going around." the doctor explained to Adrianne and AJ, "Her fever has gone down. I gave her some medicine. She should be fine in a day or two."
Adrianne and AJ took Angel back to Florida. The other guys stayed in NYC to finish up some stuff.

After AJ fed Angel some soup, Adrianne layed her down for a nap.
That night while Adrianne and AJ were eating dinner, Adrianne noticed that AJ looked very tired.
"Are you ok Alex?" Adrianne asked, "You should get some sleep."
"No, I can't sleep." AJ replied, "Not untill I know Angel is better."
AJ put his dishes in the sink and walked up to Angel's room. Adrianne followed him.
AJ quietly walked into Angel's room and over to her crib.
"Daddy!" Angel giggled.
AJ picked her up and wrapped her in a pink blanket. He stayed up and just stared at Angel.
Adrianne fell asleep next to AJ and Angel on the couch.
AJ smiled and wrapped a blanket around his wife.
"Shhh" AJ said to Angel, "Mommy's sleeping."
He took Angel to his and Adrianne's room and layed her on the bed. They watched tv and AJ told her some stories. AJ then took Angel's temperature. It was back to normal.
Angel fell asleep a little while later. AJ fell asleep too.
The next morning, Adrianne got up and made breakfast.
"Wow" AJ said as he put Angel in her highchair and sat down at the table, "You didn't have to do this."
"I wanted to." Adrianne replied. She gave Angel some eggs with a little bit of ketchup on top.
"No Angel" AJ said, "You're suppose to eat your food, not play with it."
Angel's face and hands were covered in eggs and ketchup. She started giggling. Adrianne went upstairs and gave Angel a bath.
Afterward, Adrianne and AJ played with Angel in the living room.
"Angel has so many toys." Adrianne laughed, "Everyone is spoiling her."
"That's because we have the most adorable baby in the whole world." AJ said.
A few hours later, Elizabeth and Howie came over. Elizabeth and Adrianne were gonna look through some catalogs and check out different wedding dresses. Howie and AJ were gonna take Angel to the park.
"Don't get into trouble you two." Elizabeth warned.
"Yeah I want Angel home in one peice." Adrianne said.
"Relax" AJ said, "Angel will be just fine."

Adrianne and Elizabeth went through more than a dozen magazines, pictures, catalogs,etc. of weddng dresses before Elizabeth decided on the one she wanted. They then were talking about bridesmaids dresses. Adrianne was so happy because Elizabeth had asked her to be a bridesmaid.
"What color do you think they should be?" Elizabeth asked.
Adrianne thought for a minute, "Hmmm.... I think blue or lavender would look nice."
"Yeah" Elizabeth said, "Thanks for the suggestions."
"Your welcome." Adrianne replied.
The two girls then rented movies and ordered a pizza.
Meanwhile at the park, AJ was helping Angel make a sandcastle while Howie went and got them some food.
"Here ya go Angel." Howie said. He gave Angel a cheeseburger that hehad cut up in little peices so that she wouldn't choke.
"Adrianne's gonna kill us for feeding Angel this junk." AJ said.
Howie laughed, "Adrianne doesn't have to know."
When the guys came back, Adrianne saw that Angel's face was covered in chocolate.
"What happend here?" Adrianne laughed, "Alex, I told you not to give Angel too much junk food."
Angel giggled as Adrianne took her into the kitchen t get cleaned up.
*THREE MONTHS LATER*
It was a big day. The boys were about to release another album. Coincidently, it was also Angel's 1st birthday. Everyone spoiled Angel with presents, cake, etc. Even the fans.
Angel was now able to speak some little sentances and phrases. She could also walk.
That afternoon, the boys were on their way to an autograph signing as well as alot of interviews.
"Daddy no go!" Angel said sadly as AJ was getting ready to leave.
"I'm sorry sweetie." AJ replied, "I have to."
Angel started to cry, "It my birthday."
AJ picked up his daughter and said, "I know baby. I hate working on your birthday, but I gotta go. I'll be home later. I promise."
AJ kissed Angel on the cheek and put her back in her playpen. He left after kissing Adrianne goodbye.
"What do you want for lunch Angel?" Adrianne asked.
"Ice cream!" Angel said.
Adrianne laughed, "You can't have ice cream for lunch."
"Uncle Nick let me." Angel giggled.
"Really?" Adrianne said, "I'll have to talk to him about that.... anyway, how about we have hot dogs?"
"No want hot dogs." Angel wined, "Me want ice cream!!!" She threw her tiny plastic dish on the floor.
"ANGEL MARIE MCLEAN!!" Adrianne shouted, "Stop that right now. You know better."
Angel started to cry.
"I'm sorry." Adrianne said gently, "I didn't mean to yell. I'm just so tired and frustrated. Ok, so you don't want hot dogs... how about spagetti? That was my favorite when I was little."
"Otay Mommy." Angel replied, "I wuv you."
Adrianne smiled, "I love you too baby. So much."
AJ didn't get home untill ten that night.
"You look exausted." AJ said to Adrianne as they got into bed.
"Yeah" Adrianne replied, "It was a busy day. Angel is growing up so fast. Before ya know it, she'll be dating."
AJ laughed, "I told you. Angel's not allowed to date untill she's 30."
Adrianne and AJ continued to augh untill they fell asleep.
*THE NEXT MORNING*
AJ and Angel were still asleep. Adrianne had the rare oppurtunity for some alone time.
After eating some breakfast, Adrianne decided to go downstairs into the recoding studio AJ had put in. There were all kinds of recording machines and instruments.
Adrianne began playing on one of the keyboards. She then started singing Back To Your Heart.
"Wow" AJ said as he walked into the room, "You sound incredible."
"No I don't." Adrianne said, embarassed.
AJ kissed her, "Yeah you do. I never knew you could play piano."
"Kevin taught me when I was little." Adrianne explained, "I use to be into all that stuff- playing piano, singing, dancing, acting,... but then I lost heart in it."
"Why?" AJ asked.
Adrianne looked at her husband strangely.
"Oh" AJ said, "Right. Your Dad... I'm sorry."
"It's ok." Adrianne said, "Anyway, I was just messing around."
"Well, I've got some songs I've been working on." AJ said, "Wanna try 'em out? I think you would sound really good singing them."
"Um, ok." Adrianne said.
AJ showed her some songs. Adrianne even helped him finish one of them.
"Have you ever written any songs before?" AJ asked.
"Yeah" Adrianne said, "I use to write alotof songs after my Dad died. I dunno, I guess it was a way to take my mind off things."
AJ smiled as he set up the recording equipment.
"Whenever your ready." he said.
Adrianne took a deep breath and began to sing.
