"The Shed" by F. Delfay

Oh yee of no faith
Feel bad not for Fred
For past Yankee givings
There's no need for dread
There's Rum in the cabinet
There's Coke in the fridge
With today's home arrival
He'll have more than a smidge
Sneak down to his shed
And open his bag
Roll up a fatty and take many a drag
Higher and higher Oh much higher he goes
Until his wife calls him
To come fold the clothes
On October twenty, two thousand and four
The Yankees were beaten, it's happened before
Until pitchers and catchers appear in Spring
The shed is his solace, what a grand thing
Now it's on to New England, a date with the Pats
You see it's quite easy, I just need to switch hats
