Yes, There it is folks our "Declaration Of Independence" Just a piece of paper you say, no. This document was the beginning of our way of life. It was written by a man named "Thomas Jefferson"

"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."
Jefferson's words should have as much meaning today as yesterday. We as a nation with the hard won freedoms that our soldiers sacrificed for, have reaped many benefits. We must be ever vigilent and spread the words and ideas of freedom.
The King of England, King George III, had a repeated history of injuries to our colonies and had shown only Tyranny toward us.

The white stripes meant the secession from England.

George Washington was one of our great Generals during the war and became the first president of this great nation,

He led our mostly untrained undermaned troops in our bloody battle against the British trained soldiers.
