What Would The News Be Like Today If George Bush Was Born Without A Silver Spoon


HOUSTON, Texas Feb. 7 -- Former Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson was in court today to face arraignment for assaulting a little known Houston pretzel salesman named George W. Bush.

Bush was in a Houston topless bar with his friends John Ashcroft and Donald Rumsfeld when Tyson arrived with an entourage of a dozen or so of his sycophants. What happened afterward is disputed.

According to Mike's lawyer, Ron Shapiro, Bush and his party instigated the incident with Tyson's group by referring to them as "Nigga-Boys." When Tyson and members of his party took offense to the remark and demanded an apology, Bush said, "I'm not apologizing for anything, I don't care what the facts are." and then took a drunken swing at Mike, who defended himself by decking Bush with a right that landed below Bush's left eye.

According to the report filed with the police, Bush said, "John, Donald, and I were simply discussing what we were going to do to the 'Al Qaeda Boys', [an "evil" cabal of camel herders] when Tyson approached me without warning and yelled in falsetto, 'You faggot crackers, I'm gonna kick your sissy asses!' as he punched me."

Ashcroft and Rumsfeld also sustained minor injuries. Ashcroft had a bruised groin and Rumsfeld had several deep bites on his buttocks. All three men were treated at the scene and refused hospitalization.

Both Tyson and Bush had previous run-ins with law enforcement. Tyson was arrested for assault on numerous occasions and served time for rape. Bush had arrests for petty larceny, driving under the influence, and possession of a Category A controlled substance. Tyson was released after the arraignment on bail of $0.99 pending a trial set for June 4.

Santa Claus Killed in Iraq's No Fly-Zone
Dec. 25 - Santa Claus, known by billions of children around the world, was killed today when his sled was shot down by an U.S. Air Force F-16C patrolling Iraq's southern no-fly zone. His reindeer-powered sled was obliterated by an air-to-air missile fired by one of two planes flying routine sortie in the area. None of the reindeers survived.

The U.S. Central Command had no comments on the incident except to say that "an ongoing investigation is under way to determine what led up to the tragic accident." When asked why an unarmed sled was considered hostile, Col. Douglas Armstrong, the Air Force's Public Information Officer, said that "visibility in the area was limited because of low clouds and the sled had assumed what appeared to be an attacking profile." He added that "it was premature to speculate."

The White House issued a statement later in the day blaming the tragic incident on Saddam Hussein. Ari Fleischer, the White House Spokesman, said, "Santa never obtained clearance from Central Command to fly in the area and that this mistake was fatal." He added that, "Iraq has been flying planes in the area in violation of the no-fly rule, testing our resolve to protect the Shites. The responsibility for what had occurred is solely that of Saddam Hussein.


Cry Babies
I guess when the whining is loud enough, and it is a western nation on good terms with the United States, then one can turn day into night. Remember the Romanian gymnast Radican from the Sydney Games, she was a most deserving winner who was disqualified on a mere technicality. The official words then were: "rules are rules." What about the rules in this year's pairs ice skating. If the French judge done the Canadians wrong for awarding the Russian pair the Gold medal, then maybe she also cheated the silver and bronze medals from the other skaters. Shouldn't they also be awarded bronze, silver, or perhaps gold medals too? If her presence tainted the competition, then maybe the entire event should be nullified and the skaters should skate the competition again.

Unfortunately for Radican, she wasn't an American or from an American surrogate country such as Canada or the U.K. and the meek challenge made by the Romanians quickly dissipated.

All sports that require judging are biased and perhaps all participants should get participation Olympic medals rather than gold, silver, and bronze. I feel terribly for those nations, such as Jamaica and Somalia, that don't have judges on the panel to elevate their scores. How can athletes from these countries receive a fair assessment?

Let us not forget the Atlanta Olympic Games when the U.S. women gymnatic team received the gold medal in the team competition. That was a clear example of how the media, the audience, and the organizers used their influences to "win the gold" for the United States. All the other gymnasts from the other nations were robbed. Yet, because there was no whining -- or perhaps they were suppressed -- the U.S. successes in those games couldn't have been better if Hollywood had written the script.

The Olympic Games has degenerated from a focus on top-level athletisim to a three-ring circus and a photo-op for western commercialism. Today, it seems that just about every other Olympic is held in the United States. The coverage of these games is an elaborate celebration of western imperial might and one doesn't have to be too imaginative to see these grand productions as the modern day remakes of "The Triumph of the Will."

The Parasite Is Gone

The parastite known as Linda Chavez is gone, and no tears should be shed for this poor excuse for a human. Her nomination for Labor Secretary was payback for the many hachet jobs she did to this country's disenfrachised. Using the various pulpits given her by the extreme right, she advocated policies that hurt the poor. How dare she accept the nomination when she has never held a real job. What does she know about labor? Her exploitation of a Guatamalan woman is a good indication of what she would have done to the organized labor. She would have scuttled the Labor Department by scurrying under the radar of the complacent milksopped Democrats. She would have gutted the many gains labor has made in the past thirty years (I didn't say sixty years because that probably would have necessitated another four-year cycle with Dubya) despite her best effort.
Mid-Atlantic States' Workers Returned To Work

After 18 days, the last of the strikers have finally returned to work following a settlement with Verizon. However, the manner of a split return by the workers of Verizon indicates that there are some serious issues that must be addressed. Under no circumstance should we have returned to work until there was an unanimous agreement covering ALL workers. Asking us to return to work while 37,000 of our brothers and sisters were still on the picket lines is unconscionable.

Furthermore, there must be some mechanism to ensure discipline in the rank and file. Many workers --shame on them -- failed to report to their strike picket assignments. Yet, these are the same rascals who are steadfastly checking their mailboxes awaiting their strike benefit checks. As scabs will pay, so must these infidels. Their very obvious absences from the picket lines lends solace to all management personnel and scabs.

A final observation: I was very dismay to see a few of us who behaved like louts during some of the protest rallies. The obscenities screamed and idle threats made are not constructive by any measure. What these misdemeanors accomplish is the loss of public support. We must work to establish a positive image; we must utilize every mean to win the public's support so as to put additional pressure on Verizon. An Undercurrent of Racism in the U.S.

Senator John McCain`s use of the word "gook" when referring to Vietnameses is an excellent example of the White Racism that lingers in the United States in spite of the country's supposed progressivism in the twenty-first century. All sensible Asians should be offended. This undercurrent of racism was responsible for the killing of Amadou Diallo in New York. The four officers who shot forty-one bullets at Mr. Diallo (hitting him 19 times), were found not guilty in the criminal trial. The reason they were found not guilty was because there is no law against shooting under the influence of racism. Hence, Senator McCain`s usage of the word "gook," the Confederate Battle flag atop the Capitol of South Carolina, and the shooting of Mr. Diallo are all manisfestations of this pervasive racist undercurrent that is White America. Asians in the United States should realize that, in spite of their relative successes, they are one crisis away from concentration-like internment camps. What's your opinion? Write Us
When a former N.Y.C. Police Commissioner went to Haiti some years ago to mold the Haitian Police Force into a professional police force, it appears that the N.Y.C. Police Department learned a thing or two from their Haitian counterpart. The infamous Tonton Macoute, many of whom were in the Haitian Police Force, shared some of their time-provened Voodoo Magic with their law enforcement buddies from New York. Specifically, the disappearing toilet plunger, the gun-turn-wallet illusion, and the amazing self-discharging firearm. As we have seen in the recent past, these law enforcement abracadabras have been used quite effectively by New York's Waffen Sturmtruppen. Isn't cultural exchanges great?

Verizon's prevaricating marketing department signed up new customers by deceptively portraying their long distance service as "open, honest and straight forward." A very short time after the initial recruitment period, the plans began to spawn such tongue-twisiting names as the International Direct-dialed Basic Rates Plan, and the International Savings Plan. What a mouthful! These differing plans are designed to confuse the consumers. Furthermore, a 15% INCREASE was added to their International Direct-dialed Basic Rates Plan. Of course one can lower one's rates by selecting another plan and paying a recurring charge of 36 dollars a year. Is this confusing enough yet? Well, that is what Verizon calls "open, honest and straight forward approach to long distance."
