Chapter 13

Authors Note: When I say "I" in this chapter, it is Cassie, but during the middle of the chapter I stop saying "I" and start saying "Cassie" you'll figure out why when you read it)

Brian and I were sitting in first class on the airplane. We were going to Bermuda for our honeymoon.

"I can't believe we're finally married," Brian said to me.

"I know. It's so wonderful" I agreed.

Then the caption's voice came over the loudspeaker. "Please fasten your seatbelts," and then he went on to explain the saftly procedures as the flight attendant showed us what to do in case of an emergancy.

Then the plane took off, and I feel asleep with Brian's arms wrapped around me.

****The nect morning, Kevin's house****

Ami went back to Kevin's house after the reception, and she spent the night there.

Ami got up before Kevin did, and she went downstairs and started making coffee. Then, Ami went to the living room and turned on CNN.

The volume was turned down so low that Ami couldn't hear anything, but she saw what was on the Televsion screen. It was helicopters circling the sky above the ocean. She turned the volume up right when it went to a commercial. Ami read the caption and it said "Flight 1185 tragedy"

Ami quickly ran to the kitchen and checked the flights Brian and Cassie were on.

"Oh my god" Ami said softly, then runs upstairs screaming Kevin's name.

Kevin hears Ami calling him, and he runs downstairs. "What's wrong?" he asked her.

"Cassie...Brian...plane...it...it" Was all Ami could say.

Kevin had no idea what Ami was talking about, so Ami points to the television, and Kevin listens to what the reporter is saying.

"...and flight 1185 was going to Bermuda. The plane's last signal was at 10:36 last night, and-" Kevin went over and shut tht television off, and just sat there, not believing what he just heard.

"Kevin," Ami sadi softly, with tears streaming down her cheeks, "we have to tell everyone."

Kevin nodded, got up and hugged Ami wordlessly, not knowing what to say, then he went into the kitchen. Ami heard him pick up the phone and say "Hi, Aunt Jackie, you should come over to my house as soon as you can..."

A half hour later, Brian's parents, his brother, Kevin's mom (who were all in town for the wedding) Nick, Brian, AJ, Michelle, and Howie were all at Kevin's house. Everyone knew what happened by then, and there wasn't a dry eye in his house.

Brian's brother was the only person watching the news. The reporter said, "...In case you just tuned in, Flight 1185 disappeared last night at 10:36 PM. The plane was on its way to Bermuda, and Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell was supposedly on board. So far, no bodies have been recovered." Harold went to the kitchen where everyone else was. No one said anything when he walked in, everyone just stood there quietly.

****Later that day****

Brian's parents just left for the airport. They were being flown to be with the families of the other people who were on board.

After they left, evetyone else was sitting around Kevin's house, all thinking about Brian and Cassie.

Ami suddenly said, "Guys, we have to call Samantha"

"Who's Samantha?" Howie asked.

"It's Cassie's...sister. But her parents disowned her a long time ago, I'm not sure why, Cassie was never willing to talk about it, but I don't blame her."

Everyone was shocked, but then Nick asked, "How will you find her phone number? If she still lives in New York, she won't be in the Orlando phone book. WHo knows, she might have moved, and obciously Cassie or anyone else would have known if she did."

"Gee thanks Nick, that helped a ton," Ami said sarcasticly (not sure how to spell it).

"I'm sorry," Nick said right away.

"Well, I have her old phone number, let me try that and see if for some odd reason, Samantha still lives there."

Ami went upstairs, and when she came back down, she had a piece of paper in her hand with Samanthat's phone number on it.

She dialed the number, and after a couple rings, a man picked up.

"Hello," Ami said, after the man said hi, "does Samantha Parrison still live here?"

"Yes, she does," the man answered, "let me get her. Hold on."

When the man went to get Sam, Ami said to everyone in the living room, "She still lives there."
