We arrived at the tourney early and just hung around waiting for Ted to show up. Mike Alt decided to challenge my LS so we played 2 games before the tourney started.

Game 1: My LS vs. ???

I can't remember a whole lot about this game. We basically exchanged drains and I let my On The Edge's retrieve everything for me. Full win by 35?

Game 2: My DS VS. Charles Clarkson's Revo

He started Obi's Hut and Go Ney Tay, I started Endor and Forest Clearing. I quickly took control of the Endor system while he took control of my Endor site with DOS and Saber. I dropped U-3PO there to stop the drain. He then dropped Tosche Station, Obi and Saber and we began draining each other. I got down Kashyyk which he revolved but I managed to get some Dreads there and expand my draining. The turning point came when he revolved Y4 Massassi Ruins and put Orimaarko there. Now he was outdraining me. He used some ships to take over Kashyyk but my Exec, Bus, and SD's kept him running. Meanwhile his drain on Y4 was killing me and I lost my Decree to a fd. I managed to Drop Vader and Tarkin on Ori but didn't have enough to battle. He ended up Nabruning DOS and taking over the site. From there we drained each other, he drained for more, full loss by 9?

 Highlights: U-3PO :o)
Lowlights: Not being able to pull enough ground stuff early to slow him down.

Game 3: My LS vs. Charles Clarkson's HDADTJ

He started HD and CHYBC, I started BP and MWYHL. I knew I was in trouble when I saw CHYBC as my deck usually only occupies 1 BG, my only hope was him dropping more than 1 BG site, or me getting out my RLinR1. I drew a Transmission Terminated in my opening hand and got rid of his only Visage. From there it was downhill. He got Vader, Tarkin, and Saber to Cantina, and I forgot for 2 turns in a row to grab my JT1...doh! I Signalled for UF and made him pay for Vader. I finally got my combo together and took control of Kiffex, desperately searching for RLinR1. He tried battling the Falcon but Barrier and Order To Engage made him pay. He finally accumulated a couple of pilots, Exec and Vengeance and battled, I drew mad destiny and wiped out the location, good bye Exec sites. Unfortunately he had 1 more power then me so I couldn't play Legendary Starfighter, man! Then I played On The Edge to kill off Leia so I could drain, but I lost RLinR1 to a drain, so my retrieval was gone, unfortunately his damage started faster than mine so I loss the drain race again. Full loss by 11?

 Highlights: Exec bites it again.
Lowlights: Where's RL!?

Game 4: My DS vs Jeff Cisz's LS Hoth T-47 BF He starts 2 Hoth BG sites and I start with my 2 Endor locs. He quickly takes control of Endor, so I take control of Space and Hoth. My drains are bigger than his and Battle Order is slowing him down. I manage to mount an assault on Endor and drop Ominous Rumors, so my drains are huge now. He battles me off Endor but the drains have already done their damage. Full win by 20?

Highlights: I actually got to use OR!
Lowlights: Playing the person I came with isn't good...

Game 5: My LS vs. Jeff Cisz's DS JP Old School He starts JP and ETE, I start MWYHL and Battle Plan. He gets out CHYBC and I think, oh great. This time though, I manage to get out RL and Ori at JP so I retrieve like mad. He never battles me in space, and his SCrews seriously slow me down, but my retrieval keeps me in it and helps me pull it out. Full win by 10?

 Highlights: Close game.
Lowlights: What's with playing the same person twice?

Game 6: My DS vs. Mike Alt's MWYHL JT2 Beatdown We played this twice before the tourney so we both expected me to win pretty big. I take early control of Endor, drop PotF there and do some damage. Then I manage to get Vader down on Endor but he's hit with UF. Mike sticks to his sites and drops Cantina, Ben, Kal, and another guy. I drop U-3PO to stop his drains there, he drops Landing Claw and a ship at one of my systems. I lost my Homing Beacon so I can't do anything to Landing Claw, so I spread out instead. The only damage he's doing is from UF. So I'm doing about 6 a turn to his 2. Full win by 20?

Highlights: My DS did what it's supposed to, quick and continous drains.
Lowlights: Same game 3 times today, hmmm...

So I went 4-2, with a 78 dif. I think and I finished 3rd. I know I should've done better but I'm not too disappointed as my losses were to a good player, and the games were place. It helped me see the weaknesses in my decks though so I can hopefully fix them. Thanks to Ted for another fun tourney, and Jeff for a ride to the tourney. It was nice to go back to my "roots" where I started playing, and I got to chat with the former kings of SWCCG Janiak, Mergot, and Garret, even if they are traitors who just play Doomtown now :o)

 Cheers,
