Well, I played in 4 tournies at DCon, and ended scrubbing out at all of them. I didn't get peoples names and lack of sleep makes my memory fuzzy so these TR's will be vague:

The first tourney I played in was the wild card, I was playing my black and blue for DS and "One freighter..." for LS. In my first game I played a kids Tat occ deck. I took firm control of the Tat system, played On The Edge to retrieve any force I lost and eventually Obi took over the ground. Win by a lot. At this point I was in first place...joy. I played a Revo deck next. He revolved my coruscant and I got down Nal Hutta and Fondor, he revolved those after a while too. I blocked his ground drain with a probe droid, but couldn't do much to his space drains. He got down Civil Disorder which hurt and I was drawing like mad for systems, no luck. Any damage I did was cancelled by Mantellian Savrip, and sense cancelled my Masterful Move. Loss by a lot. Next I played an Ops deck with my DS. It went like this, I draw for the first ten turns to get 4 ISB agents, he drains for 30 in that time. I finally get the 4 down and he uses 1 ship with luke piloting to take over space. loss by a lot. After that things got blurry, I know my LS deck went 3-1 and my DS went 1-3. So I ended 4-4, 45th out of 146, ughhh.

My next tourney was a Progressive Sealed deck, you start with an OTSD and get a ANH pack after every game. I was LS. I got a lot of good space stuff, no real good ground stuff. I managed to pull out the first two games by controlling space. My 3rd game I was faced with Lars Moisture Farm, with PotF, and Mosep with Motti on the second turn. 3 from my deck for a while. An Arcona slowed him down for a while, but my drain for 1 in space wasn't enough, so I lost. In my last game my opponent started with D*, oh boy. I draw and put down 4 p1 a1 guys to my Dune Sea. On my first drain I am Counter Assaluted and lose 9. On my second drain see drain 1, I am like WTF!? He then puts down a Dreadnaught with a pilot and Tie. I put down some space stuff to meet him. On his turn he puts down another Tie, another pilot and an ISD! Oh boy, lost by a lot. So I went 2-2.

My next tourney was a Japanese Sealed deck, I just wanted the cards and was going to drop immediately but was told I had to stay in for 1 game so I figured I would play until I lost. I'm looking through my SD and notice I have some cool stuff, and ISD and 2 ties, which is pathetic compared to some of the stuff LS got, as well as 21 guys plus some Power 6 ability 6 guy...SWEET! In my first game I dominated, getting down Vader at his LMF and an ISD with Pilots at his Kashyyk. In my second game I played a kid who I had heard got Obi, luke and Obi's saber. He plays Return of a Jedi to get Obi in his hand early but I then Scanning Crew him :o) I used a Y4:DB to get to his War room and proceed to drain a lot. Everything he deployed there was met by more of my guys and 2 Battle Destinies. Later on, when I had about 20 force saved up and Molator on table, he deployed Obi+saber, and Luke and battled. I had about ten guys and used Molator to raise my power by 12ish. He took out 2 guys I took out Luke and Obi ran. I eventually took out Obi and drained him out. My next game I lost...he had a massive fleet including a Ywing AS which he got down, and het got Leia and some other guys to my War Room quick. He also managed to play on the edge and retrieve 5, d'oh! I lost by 6. My next game I won and ended 3-1, not too bad, but I missed the tops spots.

My final tourney was the invitational, you needed a rating of 1800+ to play. This one will be more detailed as it is more recent and I remember the people's names. My LS deck was the same, my DS deck was a new Endor one, I start Combat Readiness with Endor and grab the Dark Forest.

Game 1: My LS vs Wojtek's Endor OPs

I was worried about this game because if his Obj. flips I can only draw 1 BD and that means I'm dead. I got down Han on the Falcon early though and caused some damage with Rebel Barrier and Order to Engage, not to mention Punch it. He Lat Damaged the Falcon and so I left Endor to cancel it. I played some On The Edge's to retrieve and sent Orimaarko to run interferenc on the ground. I then got down EPP Leia on the Falcon and took down the Exec with Attrition. Full win by 25.

Game 2: My DS vs Raphael Asselin's RTP

If you don't know who Raphael is I'll give you a real short Bio, first SWCCG world champion, nuff' said. I get down a walker with an ORS pilot early at the forest and deploy the Back Door. I deicide it's better to hold on to Leia so I send Bane to escort her. When he just barely misses a Strangle I realize Bane isn't the man for the so I send down DLOTS. He gets off an I'm Here to Rescue you and gets his objective flipped. Then he starts messing with my guys, EPP Luke and Han clear Endor while Obi sends DLOTS out of play. I go to space and save some for some more ground guys. I think I'm still doing ok thanx to my early drains...until he retrieves it all with D*Plans. I manage to kill off luke but another one comes, I decide my only chance at winning is in space with Ominous Rumors. So I get down a bunch of systems with a ship at each one and a guy on Endor to run from Luke. He's having trouble with his retrieval so I'm making a come back, it gets to the point where BP and RTP are making me pay 4 to drain, and him pay 3 to drain. And luckily I have 7 force and drain him for 3. He drains of 2, I drain for 3 and win. So I won by 5. It was a great game against a top-notch and classy player, very fun.

Game 3: My DS vs. Neal Razi's OTE/X-wings.

I knew my key to winning was Dengar in Punishing One, however it took to long to get him out. Meanwhile he's spreading and draining and when I spread he moves to 1 location and Order To Engage costs me. I lost to a deck nearly identical to my Regional deck, I smack myself for taking out the Point Man. It was still a good game, albeit frustrating, and Neal is a great sport.

Game 4: MY LS vs. Mike Girard's CC Sabbac deck.

Mike is a great player, and inventor of Maelstrom ,so I know I have my hands full. He starts CCT so I give him Ori as a captive. I knew I needed my WAYTTPOU as soon as possible, however it's the first card I lose in Sabbac, d'oh! Then over a few turns he manages to take out all 4 of my On The Edge's, oh man! I finally get Down the Falcon with Han and Leia at Coruscant and do a little damage, unfortunately his ETE on the Casino means he's usually retrieving everything I drain for. Meanwhile he's getting in a drain of 1. I then get Kiffex so I put RLinR1 there and drop Order To Engage. On his turn he deploys the Bus, which I barrier, and a dreadnaught. He loses 3. I move RL away and the Falcon over. He battles and I play Punch It. He loses both ships and 5 more and I play Legendary Starfighter. Now I'm doing some damage. Then I put down Obi who keeps moving to a weak site, with a stacked 7 destiny, and making him lose guys and/or 3 from OTE. My "direct" damage overwhelms and I manage to pull it out by 14. Another great game with a great player.

Game 5: My LS vs ??? HD deck. He starts PoTF on the Med Chamber. I cancel his first Visage on his first turn. He deploys Vader and another Visage. I grab my Dagobah stuff and in another turn Tunnel for another TT and cancel Visage. We sit like this for some time, me setting up my combo, him doing nothing. He eventually put down a 3rd Visage, which I cancel. I finally get my combo set up at Coruscant. Unfortunately it's met by the Bus, 2 ECC ships, and forfeit fodder, he reduces all my BD's by 2, thanx to Vader, and I lose Han AND Leia! I get down another set but everything I kill, like the ECC stuff, he redeploys. He puts PotF on Coruscant and drain 2, which kills me in like 20 turns. Loss by 22. I can't believe I lost in space...

Game 6: My DS vs Jason Burrow's HB-Inserts-odd ships.

We get to talking, mainly about how badly we've been doing when I hear how he's been doing horribly, he went 4-4 at the Worlds...oh great. I guess when it's all 1800+ you can't hope to play a scrub, unless you're sitting across from me ;o) Well, I got Resistance early so his inserts don't do much damage, however he's spreading out more than I can and thanx to HB and Rebel Fleet, cancelling all my drains. I don't know how long it takes me to realize I need to probe his HB to win, must of been a while though. So I get down Sec. Precautions and majorly spread so I will for sure get his HB this turn. He tries to set up a beatdown once SP lose effect, but can't quite do it. He ICBW's all the SP damage though. Now however I am draining for 8 a turn and luckily manage to pull it out. Win by a little... Another excellent game, though I wonder why I played so poorly, it's probably due to the realization I'm a scrub... :o( Jason Burrows is another class-act who is also a great player.

So I ended up 10th out of 40+, 8 dif from getting 8th place, and glass. 1st went to TJ, second to Neal Razi, and third to mister ???.

This was one of the coolest tournies I've ever played in, the competition was great and so were the players, save mr. ???, it's nice to see that even in the higher-ups people play for fun, and are not jerks to their opponent. I sincerely hope I get to play in another such tourney, provided my rating is ever 1800 again. Well, I said my good byes to a lot of people and me and my dad took off on our 10 hr drive, ahhh.
