Id on DS2

Looking through the cards D has shown and the information thrown out on the list-serve it appears Ds2 will change the game . . . (pause for the reader to yell duh at the screen) It appears it will destroy some old strategies, the new "Magic Bullet" cards seem to be the most powerful we have seen to date, and obviously introduce some new ones. As much as I hate to see strategies to be so blatantly destroyed, I'll still be happy if they manage to create some great new strategies. Which is what I want to focus on, the new Admiral Order's cards. From what I've seen these are the best idea Decipher has had in quite some time. If you haven't seen any of them yet, I suggest you go here:DS LS

There are 4 more for each side, all of which with similarly powerful impacts. Now aside from the fact that these cards are more beautiful than a drunk blon...err a Picasso, yeah that's it, and they are destiny 6, they're still great cards. In case you didn't know, when one of these cards is deployed any other Admiral Orders on the table is placed in its owner's used pile. So what you get is a great almost side game with your opponent. One turn your opponent is relying on there Order to hold a system with X-wings just to have you deploy a new Order and annihilate their wings. People now have to decide, do I use Order cards, or do I simply let my opponent use them. If I use them do I use enough to out Order my opponent? We may almost see some games where the player who wins is the one who out Orders his opponent (the new SAC wars perhaps?). We may also see people putting down new Orders so they can track that 6 that just went back to their used pile...hmmm... the possibilities are endless and definitely exciting. If Decipher can keep up with this kind of game genius than my hopes for SWCCG in the future are high indeed.

Cheers,
Jon "Id" Schultz
