Me, Myself, and IMe, Myself, & I
Hi! Things sure have changed since my last update. In fact that's part of the reason things haven't been changed. I'm now a 2nd year grad student at RIT
My program, School Psychology is awesome
I recently found my internship for next year, I'll be in Seneca Falls!
Let's see, what's interesting about me?
I'm shy until you get to know me, then you can't get me to shut up, just ask Sean.
1st things 1st. I have some really wonderful friends. My former housemates: JZ, Wendy, Mon, Jen, Amy. Missy, Sandy, Matt, Marissa, Jenn Miller. I miss you guys!!!!
I have a wonderful boyfriend, Sean. He's there for me whenever I need to talk. He's been through a lot with me this past year and I can't thank him enough. Sean, I love you!
I'm a brother of Alpha Phi Omega. No, I didn't type that wrong. APO is a coed service fraternity, and we're all called brothers. PC 22 rocks! I miss my family line. Incest is best!!!! I even miss the icing = )
What else? I'm an EDA (EveryDay Angel). We're a group of people brought together by a mutual admiration of Jewel. I love Jewel. Not in a really obsessive way, but her music speaks to me and has lifted me up when I was down.
Let's see, what else? I love music. My favorites are Jewel (duh), Steve Poltz (he's great), Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morisette, BNL, Dixie Chicks, DMB, I could go on and on.
My favorite TV is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I miss watching it with the Buffy gang, Sandy, Missy, Matt, and of course, Marissa.
I also like Felicity, Roswell, basically all the WB cheese, ER, and Law and Order.
Favorite movies include: Center Stage (my new favorite movie, I loved it!!!!) Beaches (the 1st movie I loved), The Man in the Moon (the Reese Witherspoon movie),Man on the Moon was good too, Titanic,& American Pie was hilarious. I also like to watch the cheesy horror movies: Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, you know the type. There really aren't too many movies I love, just ones that I like.
On to books. I'll warn you, I love to read. I love everything Nicholas Sparks has written. Read The Notebook, it's incredible. I also like Maeve Binchy books, The Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing (Melissa Banks), Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden), The Mitford Books (Jan Karon), She's Come Undone (Wally Lamb), The Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches Books (Anne Rice), Reviving Ophelia (Mary Pipher), Ophelia Speaks (Sara Shandler), School Girls ( Peggy Orenstein), Harry Potter (J. K. Rowling), The Pilot's Wife (Anita Shreve),an incredible book by Catherine Ryan Hyde, Pay It Forward, and so many more. Recently, I've read The Way We Never Were: American Families and the Nostalgia Trap (Stephanie Coontz) and Girl, Interrupted (Susanna Kaysen). Yes, I'm a little bit of a nerd. I actually like to read psych and soc books. Just remembered another, Egalia's Daughters (Gerd Brantenberg, this book is awesome. It takes the gender roles and reverses them.)
Well, enough from me for now.
