2000 BMW 323i

This is the newest BMW in my life...kind of. My Uncle Tom has been a BMW lover since the 2002. He owned a 1966 (perhaps, he estimates it was between 1965-1967, the seller rather shady) 1800, a 1971 2002, and a 1977 320i through the early European Delivery system. After the 320i came Honda and Acura labels, which wasn't rare to find in the '80's, as the Japanese began to take away BMW sales. But then last year, a trip to Otto's in West Chester sealed the deal on a new 323i. And to make it even better, European Delivery was again selected. The trip brought them to Germany first of course, picking up the new car at the plant, then touring Europe around Germany and France for about 2 weeks. Then the afmily said goodbye, and about a month later the car followed across the pond to the waiting driver. Only a slight run-in with a curb disrupted the experience, needing a new tire and damaging the wheel. But hey, Euro Delivery is the way to go. Uncle Bob, I remember your promise: Once I can drive internationally we're going over to get a new M3 and go Bahnstormin'!

A Handsome Pose

If you checked out the 320i picture, which you should, you might notice the forest theme here. That's courtesy to my dad's great photography skills. Thirty years ago he said,'Hey, why not photo shoot the new 320 in the woods?' Now, replace the 320 with the 323 and we did the same. The woods are at my cottage in Pennsylvania, and really make the car look cool. Not that it needs much help in that department. In fact it needs no help in any department, but I still have yet to drive it;) It has the sport pakage, which provides the cool multi-spoke wheels, shadow line trim, sport seats, and the beefier ZR tires, which don't last all too long, and are expensive to replace we found out.

From the back

At first some thought the E46 would look too much like an E39, but as it turns out NO! The distinct look of the back of all the new 3s is great. Black tipped exhaust pipes are OEM aftermarket. The temporary tag is in the rear windshield, and that's Otto's shield next to the license plate frame.

Entrance of the Gladiator

Maybe this shot is better reserved for a friend's 325xia, but it still looks good. Continue on for more 323i pics here.
