Lemuel Cook Chapter S.A.R.
Will Unveil Marker
The Lemuel Cook Chapter, Empire
State Society, Sons of the American
Revolution will unviel an official
marker of the S.A.R. in the grave-
yard on the Hulberton Road, south
of the Million Dollar Highway, about
2 miles west of Holley at 10:30 A.M.
Daylight Saving Time, July 4th,
1939. The marker has been placed on
the grave of Robinson Smith com-
memorating his service in the Revo-
lutionary War.
Robinson Smith enlisted in 1782 in
the New Hampshire troops for 3 years,
served in the infantry and light horse
6th Co., 2nd New Hampshire Reg.
and later was made a member of
Washington's Life Guard. Details
about the life of the soldier will be
given at the unvieling of the marker.
Interesting data concerning the de-
scendants of the soldier will be men-
tioned. Short speeches befitting the
occasion will be made.
