5/21/02~I'm very sad to say that Nigel has officially left bush.
Please read the following link for more information: Dotmusic.

5/09/02~Hey all...good news. Sounds like Bush is not "breaking up". I just heard a radio interview with Robin on Kiss FM 104.7 and he said after this tour they are headed home to work on a new record. The DJ also said Nigel will be at the show this friday. So we'll just have to see...keep your fingers crossed! Take it from a Comm. major though...the media is lamo...never believe a word you hear unless it comes directly from the source of interest.

5/07/02~A huge part of my youth has died tonite. Please read the following, which was posted at Digital-Noise:

Bush appear to be on the verge of splitting up, according to an interview with frontman Gavin Rossdale published in Kerrang! magazine.

Speaking to the publication as the band filmed a video for their forthcoming new single, "Inflatable", at London's Lambeth Liberal and Radical Club on April 16th, the singer explained that relations with guitarist Nigel Pulsford have reached an all-time low.

"I haven't spoken to Nigel in quite a while," Gavin revealed to Kerrang!. "I don't know if he's left the band or not, but it's safe to say that Bush are definitely in a state of flux at the moment. Nigel's on a break to be with his family, so we've had Chris Trainer, who used to be in Helmet, playing shows with us all year."

Although the band have no immediate plans to call it a day, all activities will definitely going to be put on hold for an indeterminate period.

"I don't know what's going to happen with the band. It's just a case of re-appraising things and maybe working on something else for a bit. I just did some music for [infamous Brit artist] Sarah Lucas. She shot a 45-minute film of a guy getting crucified and my job was to cut it down to 15 minutes and put music to it. The film will be on a permanent loop at a gallery in London. That's really exciting."

The fact that Nigel is on hiatis is speaking a lot to me personally. Bush is the band that changed my world. They allowed me to see the true beauty in music. The thought of the band no longer existing as a whole is extremely upsetting to me. So what? Life does go on...but it goes on with an enormous influential part of my youth left to linger alone forever.  Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase were masterpieces to me.  The emotion and passion that they evoked was something unexplainable by words.  You could feel the band's love of music pouring out in their chords, words, and beats.  You could live the songs. They were so true and real, that they even tought me a lot about myself.  When the Science of Things came out I noticed that the fire wasn't there anymore. This scared the hell out of me. How could a band who were so completely passion filled no longer hold true in their music? That question bothered me.  I held it within myself for a long time.  I didn't want to admit that they weren't being honest in their music anymore. The latest album was something I was hoping would encompass everything that Bush was. The raw intensities, the realism in their music, bridges to give you chills, and build ups that would just make you smile because you could feel them within yourself. Sadly, this album didn't offer that to me. I felt like the cohesiveness was gone, and I was scared for the reality that might be.  I want nothing more than to have "my bush" back. I want to feel with their music again. I want it to mean something to us.

People change, people grow apart, but the music lives forever.  I will always be thankful for the beautiful music bush has offered us, and I hope one day their hearts will be at one again, and an art like no one elses can be painted for us one more time.

The band may not have officially called it quits yet, but to me if all four men aren't bush, then it just can't be the same. I'm seeing them this friday the 10th., and the fact that Nigel won't be there is heartbreaking. We need not all freak out yet though because the media is one big lying, word twisting, falsified truth.  Time apart can be a healthy thing, and maybe it it just want they need.  Maybe the band will survive through their differences, and bush will continue to contribute their music to us. Only time will tell.
