1. THE BASICS

  (1a) The object of Hancor Fantasy Football League (HFFL) comprises of 14 National Football League player/special teams, in order to participate in a weekly head-to-head match with a fellow league member. Each week, 8 of the 14 player/teams are activated, whereby, based on actual active player scoring, a win, loss or tie is determined for that week’s results. Following a regular season consisting of 14 weeks, those teams qualifying enter the head-to-head playoffs to determine the league champion.  

2. TEAMS and ROSTERS
(2a) Franchise Fees for the 2001 season to the Commissioner will be $25.00
   ($5.00 dollars going towards the commissioner program from each owner which costs $65.00 if more is needed it will be taken from the main kitty)(This fee will be lower next year  $40.00 to renew)
(2b) There are 8 teams in the league, comprising of 14 players/special teams

(2c) $1.00 will be charges for any transactions made (i.e. Trades to other Owners. Drop/pick up players including IR players)

(2d) $1.00 will be charged for subbing a TE with a WR.

(2e) Any money that is due needs to be paid in full before the start of game day or you will receive a loss for the week and (0) ZERO points for the week.
3. THE 2001 DRAFT
 The Draft is a 14 round draft; taking place at East Waverly Ball Park (behind Hancor) Augusts 18,2001 Saturday morning 9:00 am SUBJECT TO CHANGE

4. SCHEDULE and STANDINGS

(4a) The (HFFL) is an 8 team head-to-head league. Based on a schedule created by the Commissioner (FLM program) and provided during Draft day after the draft, each team shall play 14 games of head-to-head play from which a win, loss, or tie shall be determined, based on scoring methods presented in section 5 below. Such won/loss/tie record shall be the sole determining factor in standings (see tiebreaker procedures described below in section 4b).

(4a1) The (HFFL) consists of one division, with 8 teams in it.

(4a2) Following the regular season of 14 games, a 3 week playoff shall commence as follows:

   (1) The six (6) teams with the best overall records will go to the playoffs; the two division winners and four wild-card teams. The teams will be seeded from 1 to 6 by won-lost records. (In the event of any tied W-L records, see next section below)

   (2) The two division winners will receive a first-round BYE. First-round playoff games (NFL Week #14) will feature the #3 seed vs. the #6 seed, and #4 will play #5.

   (3) The Semi-final playoff round (NFL Week #15) will have the #1 seed playing the lowest seed remaining, and the #2 seed taking on the highest seed remaining. The winners of this round advance to the Fantasy Bowl

    (4) The Fantasy Bowl will occur during NFL Week #17 and will be the (HFFL) Super Bowl. 

(4b) For playoff seedings and transactions, all ties in the standings shall be broken as follows:

1) Regular season games ending in ties will remain in ties. Any number of teams qualifying for the playoffs with identical records will be seeded #1 through #6 by the following means: (1) head-to-head games (2) highest total season points

5. SCORING
(5a) Each week’s head-to-head match shall be determined by the following scoring method. Where applicable, points are scored by those players/teams on the ACTIVE roster, as outlined in section 5 below. (See attached sheet also)

(5a1) QUARTERBACKS: 4 points awarded for each TD pass thrown. 6 points for a rushing TD. 6 points for a TD reception. 1 extra point for each 100 yards passing; 1 point per 100 yards rushing; 1 point per 100 yards receiving. –1 point for each interception.  –1 point for each sack -1 point for a fumble

(5a2) RUNNING BACKS, WIDE RECEIVERS, TIGHT ENDS: 6 points are awarded for each TD scored, either by running or catching a pass. 4 points are awarded for each TD pass thrown. 1 extra point for each 100 yards passing; 1 point per 100 yards rushing; 1 point per 100 yards receiving. -1 point for a fumble

(5a3) PLACE KICKERS:  3 points for field goals. 1 point for each PAT kicked –3 points for missed field goal.

(5a4) ADDITIONAL SCORING:  If a two-point conversion is scored by running 2 points are awarded to the runner. If a two-point conversion involves a pass, the passer is awarded 1 point and the receiver is awarded 2 points. 

(5a5) DEFENSES: 6 points for defensive and special teams TD scored, 2 points for a safety, and 1 point for each sack (no half points), 1 point for each turnover recovered. A conversion after a TD does not count as a special team score nor does a fake FG. –1 point for fumble lost

(5b) Head-to-head match ups that end in a tie shall remain a tie and is recorded as such for the purpose of REGULAR SEASON standings. During the PLAYOFFS, a tie shall be broken as follows:
  (1) In all playoff games except for the Championship game, if a tie score occurs then the highest-seeded team will get the win.
In the (HFFL) Super Bowl game, the tiebreaker will be total roster points including the bench. If a tie were to still exist after that point, then the total regular season points (starter) would break the tie.

6. ROSTER MAINTENANCE (TRANSACTIONS/WAIVERS PROCESS) (also see #7 and #8)
(6a) Each owner shall be required to activate Only 7 offensive players and 1 special teams / defense. This will leave 6 inactive players each week. Your starting line-up each week will consist of 1 quarterback, 2 running backs, 3 receivers, <which can include 1 TE> 1 tight end, 1 place-kicker, and 1 special teams / defense. Only these 8 players/team shall be considered ACTIVE for scoring purposes (score points for a given team that week).

(6b) For any starting position that contains an illegal number of starters, a zero score for that entire position will be forthcoming. Example: If an owner submits a starting lineup containing two tight ends instead of the above-mentioned requirement of one, both tight ends will receive a zero. If there are 2 wide outs instead of the required 3, all three wide out positions will receive a zero for that week. 

(6C) Starting lineups will not be due until 1 hour before the first scheduled game on game day.

(6D) If a correct ACTIVE roster is not presented prior to GAME TIME, the previous week’s ACTIVE roster shall be assumed. Furthermore, if by game time of a Thursday game, an owner has not presented any players for that game, but his previous week’s roster included a player that is playing in the Thursday game, then that player will remain ACTIVE for his team for the current week. Errors on starting lineups turned in will be voided. Zero points if you start a player on a BYE week, etc.

 (6c) Any player not submitted prior to a game before game day is ineligible for the week whether a roster is handed in on or not.
 (6d) In order for a transaction to be approved, all its parts must be VALID. For trades, all owners involved must verbally (phone or email) confirm the trade to the Commissioner or the trade will be considered INVALID.

 

7. TRADES
(7a) Any franchise may make unlimited trades, beginning after the posting of the final pick on the draft board.  Any trade can be revoked if deemed not in the best interest of the league. . TRADES are to be made official during the period of 12 pm EST each TUESDAY through 9 am, EST each SUNDAY. Unless there is a game on Thursday then 5 pm EST on Thursday is the cutoff time.
        (Cut off time for trades will be no later the 3 hours BEFORE the start of the FIRST game of the week) so the rosters can be adjusted. So please get it is as far in advance as you can)
(7b) The Commissioner may void any trade if such trade is deemed by the Commissioner to be improper and/or not in the best interest of the (HFFL).
(7c) No owner is bound by any trade offer/discussion/negotiation until such time as said owner posts a transaction announcing the trade. Once such an announcement is posted, it MAY NOT be withdrawn although the other owner(s) are not bound to follow suit.
(7d) There is no limit as to the number of trades a team may make with fellow owners in any given week.
(7e) All trades are first come first server when picking up a free agent at the start of a new week. 
8. WAIVERS
(8a) Any team may waive any player/team on its team and claim a replacement player/team from the free agent pool with regard to TIME and TRANSACTION LIMITS. Such a waiver, once posted is IRREVOCABLE.                                                                      (8b) If a played is put on IR you have 2 choices (1) hold the player until he is released to play again (2) release the player on IR and draft another player. If you release the player on IR and he becomes active again he is considered a free agent and anyone can draft him

9. OFFICIAL DISCLAIMER
(9a) ALL (HFFL) happenings are subject for Commissioner’s approval and may be REVOKED if deemed to be improper and/or not in the best interest of the (HFFL). Commissioner, along with Rules & Judgments Committee will resolve all disputes!

(9c) Please remember, even though things can get a little "competitive" at times, this league exists for FUN
