- Terry Gilliam strikes again! A wonderfully inventive romp through history via the skewered lens of a "Python" Alumnus. Proof positive, or at least damnable; that the British have a sense of humor!
- A misunderstood, young lad is "adopted" by a group of dwarves, pretending to be thieves. They have the Creator's map of eternity, and plan to plunder the world from era to era. Unfortunately, these unlikely heroes are rather inept at nearly everything they do. Creating further problems for our hapless group, is an incredibly strange David Warner as the total malevolence of EVIL! If that's not enough to hinder their explits; the Creator himself, is stalking them, in hopes of regaining his invaluable "Map of Time".
- This fine film is filled with cameos from Sean Connery as a heroic "Agammemnon", to "R2-D2" sans outer shell! (Pint-sized Kenny Baker plays one of the troupe.) So if you've ever wondered what was inside that blue-and-white tin-can; here's your chance to see!
- The "historic" meetings our little friends have, become quite "hist-erical", as a "slightly" different bent is found to some of our best-loved historical antecdotes. Gilliam's poke at the "Titanic", is even more fun, now that we've been flooded with that over-blown, "commercial" tanker.
- This is a film for children and adults alike.
