~Fall~
It starts again!
Spawned from the bowels of hell,
It slithers across the green earth.
It's tongue a flame; always tasting.
It's brimstone breath devouring
lowlands
from dusk till dawn.

The green earth weeps each night,
and her dewy tears protect the land.
But still the serpent comes!
Its passing marked in red and orange
above the earths protective tears.
![]()
Soundlessly, it makes its way;
Robbing life from the green earth.
It robs the sun of its warmth,
Needing heat to fuel its ugliness.

Angry now, Mother Nature lashes out,
With cooling winds and pouring rain.
![]()
She seeks the serpent day and night.
Her thunderous voice filled with rage.
Her spears of light meant to kill;
To halt the serpents passing.
![]()
In the end, the earth will die.
And the sated serpent
will return to hell.
And the winds will blow cold.
And the earth will be all ugliness.

Then, will Mother Nature weep!
Her icy tears blanketing the earth.
The ugliness hidden from view.
Till the sun regains its warmth.
