Barbados

Greetings from the beautiful island of Barbados where the water is blue, the skies are bright, and the air is fresh and clean. A tiny paradise in the Caribbean sea. It covers an area of only 166 square miles but is one of the most rapidly developing nations.

Fact: The United Nations Development Index (1996) ranked Barbados third in terms of quality of life among 160 developing countries worldwide (Hong Kong and Cyprus ranked first and second respectively). Barbados ranked ahead of countries such as Spain, Italy and Ireland.

It is rumored that God lives in Barbados because we are constantly spared the threat of hurricanes. Since we are the most easterly of the Caribbean nations, hurricanes past right by us.

With miles of beutiful beaches, friendly people, and not to mention the carnivals and night life...Barbados is one of the best places to visit.

But I'm not going to fill this page with stuff about Barbados because many people have already done it. You can check out The Nation Newspaper to find out about current events or The Barbados Photo Gallery for gorgeous pictures and information about the country. ...And in case you're wondering, that's the National Anthem playing in the background.
