Returning State Qualifiers in bold

He who has the depth, has the edge in this league, right now that's Mount Anthony will an edge over Hadley-Luzerne...Granville and Greenwich also have good depth but will need help from their fourth and fifth runners...Individually, look for the returning state qualifiers to battle it out. Edge right now goes to Schuylerville's Jesse Williams over Greenwich's Ethan Allen and Vermont State qualifier Aaron Gilbert of Mount Anthony.

Argyle:      Sectional Place:  12th place - Class D

Top Returnees:  Luke Hoffis Sr., Scott Gordon Jr., Bryan Schuyler So., Dan Taft

Outlook: Return four from last year's sectional team and should have a pretty good modified runner coming up so they should probably be complete...Rebuilding right now but they're off to a decent start.

Corinth:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees: Nick Wujciak So., Jared Fuller Jr.

Outlook:  Only return two from last year so they will have to rebuild...Wujciak is a good number one but they need to fill the lineup.

Fort Ann:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:   Gunnar Gramlich So.

Outlook:  Gramlich is the only returning runner so they will have to try to fill up their lineup before anything else.

Granville:       Sectional Place:  5th place - Class C

Top Returnees:   Joe Macura Sr., Patrick Leach Sr., Jacob Cook Sr., Michael Mastriani Sr., Brett Tuttle Sr.

Outlook:  Very good depth with nine out of ten returning...will definitely challenge for at least second place...Macura is solid and second and third runners are both under nineteen minutes...Fourth and fifth runners need to improve for a better chance to take the league title.

Greenwich:       Sectional Place:  5th place - Class D

Top Returnees:  Ethan Allen Jr., Ron Cutie So., James Borden Sr., Adam Frisbee Jr., Brad Kelly Jr.

Outlook:  Allen is a returning state qualifier and one of the top runners in the league...Cutie was one of the top freshmen last year, those two are a good start...Rest of top five will have to improve their times if they want to move up in the league standings...A good modified team from last year should help.

Hadley-Luzerne:       Sectional Place:  7th place - Class D

Top Returnees:  Brian Roder Jr., Chip Cheney Jr., Shawn Gilbert Sr., Collin Plummer Sr., Joel Waite Sr.

Outlook:  Very good depth with eight runners returning from last year...Should be a definite top three team but will need their fourth and fifth runners to drop their times if they want to challenge for the league title...Solid top three.

Hoosic Valley:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:   Aaron Waytkis, Jeremy Moore

Outlook:   Only return two from last year but had a complete modified team to help them fill the lineup.

Lake George:       Sectional Place:  11th place - Class D

Top Returnees:  Alex Lanfear, Israel DelToro, Eugin Koh, Mookie Harrison, Darren Miller

Outlook:  Didn't have the runners grades so their maybe some graduates listed...Good top two but third through fifth runner will have to move up especially their fourth and fifth who are both over twenty-two minutes.

Mount Anthony Union (Vt.):       Sectional Place: None

Top Returnees:  Aaron Gilbert Sr., Joe Martin Jr., Tim Donyon So., Dan Connor So., Josh Cooke Sr.

Outlook:  Early league favorite with five runner returning that were under nineteen minutes at Saratoga...Losing Patrick Wright, who transferred to Albany Academy hurts and could use a little more depth but still look good.

North Warren:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:   None

Outlook:  Didn't have anyone run at Sectionals last year...Have a very good runner coming from

Schuylerville:       Sectional Place:  4th place - Class C

Top Returnees:   Jesse Williams Sr., Joe Durie Sr., Nate Durie So.

Outlook:   Lost a bunch to graduation...Williams is the top league returnee and is a returning state qualifier...Only return three from last year but should be able to fill up the team.

Tamarac:       Sectional Place:  11th place - Class C

Top Returnees:  Justin DeGuilio Jr., Dan Messia Jr., Chris Morens Sr., Gary Bonesteel Sr., Rocco Valenti So.

Outlook:  Return seven from last year's team but every runner was over twenty minute at Saratoga...Times will need to improve for any movement in the league standings but will probably struggle against other complete teams.

Whitehall:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:  None

Outlook:  No one returning, time to rebuild

Returning State Qualifiers in bold

I would've though it would have been another league championship for Mount Anthony, that was until Argyle won the Tri-Valley Invy against a tough Washingtonville team with a bunch of seventh graders...Argyle's depth isn't that great so if one of them goes down it could open the door for Mount Anthony or Schuylerville...Individually, Hoosic Valley's Autumn Karweil is the defending champion but she will be pushed by Argyle newcomer Caitlin Lane.

Argyle:      Sectional Place:  5th place - Class D

Top Returnees:  Caitlin Lane 7th, Hanna Davidson 7th, Ashley Fong 7th, Emily Fong 7th

Outlook:  Quickly become the team to beat after bringing up five very competitive 7th graders...Still could use improvement from their fifth runner as she is about three minutes behind the rest of them now but their first four are incredibly tough.

Corinth:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:  none

Outlook:  Lost long time runner Brianne Capasso to graduation and will have to start rebuilding this year

Fort Ann:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:   none

Outlook: No runners returning...Time to rebuild

Granville:       Sectional Place:  9th place - Class C

Top Returnees:  Sara Hutchinson Sr., Erin Wilson Sr., Sarah Backus Jr., Kelly Cray Sr.

Outlook:   Return six runners from last year but the times will have to improve if they want to move up in the league...First runner is just under twenty-fur minutes and everyone else is over twenty-five.

Greenwich:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:  Emily Herrick Sr.

Outlook:  Herrick is the only returning runner so they will have to rebuild around her.

Hadley-Luzerne:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:  Jane Scanlon So., Kati Gilbert So., Jenn Wyman So.

Outlook:   Only return three from last year so they'll need a couple more bodies...The three that are returning are young but the times need a drop to help out in the league standings.

Hoosic Valley:       Sectional Place:  2nd place - Class D

Top Returnees:  Autumn Karweil Sr., Julie Moore Sr., Anne Kelly Sr., Jessica Shuster So., Susie Gifford Sr.

Outlook:  Return five with defending league champ Karweil leading the way...Need help with their fifth runner but had a full modified team that should help out their depth this year...Can move up in the standings with some improvement from their third and fourth runners.

Lake George:       Sectional Place:  6th place - Class D

Top Returnees:  Laura Monroe Sr., Susie Sandspree Jr., Nichole Ringer

Outlook:  Return five runners but fourth and fifth runners were well over thirty minutes...Not sure they can move up unless they get some big improvements from all of their runners.

Mount Anthony Union (Vt.):       Sectional Place: None

Top Returnees:  Gina Guerino, Courtney Holmes Sr., Erika Hollner So., Iona Woolmington, Anna Crabtree So.

Outlook:  Defending league champs were a good bet to repeat until Argyle came into play...Still have the best depth in the league but they will have to break up Argyle's top four of they want to challenge them.

North Warren:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:  None

Outlook:  No runners returning...Will need to rebuild.

Schuylerville:       Sectional Place:  5th place - Class C

Top Returnees:  Marissa Ainsworth Jr., Rebecca Polmateer Sr., Jamie Mayer So., Saara Johanson Sr., Emily Zarachuk Jr.

Outlook:  A strong top five lead by Ainsworth...fourth and fifth runners will have to drop their times under twenty-two minutes if they want to challenge Mount Anthony, I'm not sure they can compete with Argyle though but should be ahead of Hoosic Valley for a solid third place.

Tamarac:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class C

Top Returnees:   Sara Barnett Sr., Stacia Wilson So.

Outlook:   Only return two runners that were both over twenty-six minutes at Saratoga...Need to get bodies to fill their lineup before anything.

Whitehall:       Sectional Place:  incomplete - Class D

Top Returnees:   None

Outlook:  No runners returning...Will need to rebuild.
