Playstation 2 Price
SCEI announced that they want to keep the price down for the Playstation 2 when it releases in March 2000 in Japan and they want to keep it as low as $249 (29,800 yen). They also said that "most likely it wont be DVD Movie Compatibility" just so they can keep the price down on the Next Generation System. Playstation 2 will release during 4th Quarter 2000 in the US.
