"Bri, stop, stop!" said Jenn as she kept laughing uncontrollably.
"Okay." He said and he stopped.
"Thanks, now get out so I can call my friend." she said just like a mother who was yelling at her child.
"Okay, Okay, no need to get snippy!" he said jokingly. Brian left the room laughing and he bumped into Nick. "Sorry Nick" Said Brian.
"It’s okay, it’s about time you came out of there." He said with a hint of jealousy.
"Oh, I was convincing her that I wanted her to fix me up with her friend."
"Oh, she was that stubborn huh?"
"Not really" he said as he walked around Nick and entered the bathroom.
~Back in Jenn’s Room~
"Hi, is Kayleigh there?" she asked.
"Yep hold on a minute please." Said her mother.
"Okay" replied Jenn.
"Hello?" asked Kayleigh from the other end of the phone.
"Hi Kay" said Jenn.
"Oh, Hi Jenn." Said the perky Kayleigh.
"You wanna help me out?" asked Jenn questioningly.
"Sure, with what?"
" Well, my boyfriend Nick has a friend Brian and I was wondering if maybe you could go out on a date with him?!? If you don’t like him then you don’t have to see him again. Please?" she asked in a desperate sort of way.
"Okay sure I’ll try anything once." She said.
"Great do you think you could come over and meet him now?" asked Jenn.
"Ummm, I guess." She said.
"Buh Bye" answered Jenn.
"Bye" said Kayleigh.
"Nick, Bri!" Come here!" screamed Jenn.
"What?" asked Nick as he plowed into the room clumsily.
"Calm down I just wanted to tell you that Kayleigh is coming over." She said still laughing over their entrance.
"Oh, cool is that the one that your fixing Brian up with?" asked Nick curiously.
"Yeah" she said.
"Cool" said Brian as the doorbell rang.
"I’ll go get it," Said Jenn "you guys stay here"
Jenn opened the door and to her surprise it wasn’t Kayleigh, it was Justin. "Hi" said Justin as he stepped into her home.
"Hi, what are you doing here?" she asked.
"Well, nice to see you too." He said.
"I’m still mad at you, you know. I can’t forgive you for that. I’m sorry will you please leave." She asked as she opened the door.
"No" he said as he shut the door. He took her hand and sat her down on the couch. Then he put her in a laying down position, and started to kiss her. "Justin stop!" she said. "Please" she cried. Just then Nick came running down the stairs. "Nick help me" she said.
"Justin get the fuck off of her!" screamed Nick as he pushed him off and comforted Jenn.
"Your such a bastard!!! Leave!" screamed Brian. "Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!"
"Are you okay?" Nick asked.
"Yes, I’m so glad you came." She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Then there was another ring. "Come in" shouted Jenn knowing that it was Kayleigh.
"Hi Kay" she said. In stepped a short red-headed girl about three inches shorter then Brian.
"Hi Jenn, what’s wrong it looks like you have been crying?" she said looking at her friend in a concerned sort of way.
"Yeah, I have, Justin just came over…" Jenn couldn’t finish her sentence she was crying so uncontrollably. Nick finished telling her the story and Kayleigh went over and comforted her friend.
"I’m so sorry Jenn, are you okay?" asked Kayleigh.
"Yeah, I’ll be okay don’t worry about me," she said. "Oh, Kayleigh my friend Kim and her sister Kierstin will be coming down here next week. Kim is 25, and Kierstin turned 21 on January 10. They would make great matches with Kev and AJ."
"Yeah, that would be cool, maybe then AJ will leave you alone." Said Nick.
"Oh yeah, maybe I should have them come down a little earlier then." Said Jenn as she chuckled. "How stupid of me, Kay this is Brian, Brian this is Kayleigh."
"Hi," said Kayleigh shyly. Kayleigh thought that Brian was hella fine and she wanted to just push him up against the wall kiss him right there.
"Hey," said Brian "Want to take a walk? I’d like to get to know you a little."
"Sure, I’d love to." Said Kayleigh. Brian picked up his coat and walked outside.
~Back Inside~
"You know, we have the whole house to ourselves." Said Nick as he put his arm around Jenn.
"Yeah, I know, what exactly were you planning on anyway?" she asked though, already knowing what he was thinking.
"Well, I could do this," said Nick as he leaned down and kissed her.
"Yep that’s true, and then I could do this.." she said as she kissed him just as passionately as he had kissed her. The rest of the night went on just like this.
~Outside where Brian and Kayleigh are walking~
"You wanna play 20 questions?" asked Brian half joking half serious.
"Sure," replied Kayleigh as she laughed slightly.
"Okay, what is your middle name, parents names’, siblings, pets, age, birthday, favorite color, favorite food, shoe size, height, do you like Nintendo, favorite song, favorite artist, favorite actor and actress, favorite movie, do you like to dance, how long have you know Jenn, favorite thing to do, favorite place to go, and ….. do you like me?"
"Whoa, let’s see if I can answer all of these and in the correct order. Here goes nothing…Nicole, John and Sara, triplets; Karen, Nick, and Thomas, cat; Missy dog; Forest, 22, February 20, blue, anything with cheese, size 6, 5’5", love it, Four Seasons of Loneliness, Boyz II Men, Ryan Phillipe, Drew Barrymore, Scream, love to dance, since a few days after she moved here, play basketball, the beach, and….. yes I like you." Said Kayleigh surprised that she remembered everything he had said. "Okay, are you satisfied? Now, it is my turn to ask you, sorry if I steal some."
"Yep I’m satisfied, it’s okay, I don’t mind." Said Brian liking her last answer especially.
"Okay, middle name, siblings, favorite color, favorite food, pets, parents’ names, actor, actress, artist, song, age, do you like to dance, favorite thing to do, how long have you know Nick and Jenn, favorite place to go, birthday, height, do you like Nintendo, special talent, and do you like me?" she asked counting off the number of questions on her fingers.
"Here I go, Thomas, brother; Harold, blue, macaroni and cheese or anything that involves cheese, cat; Missy, Harold and Jackie, Jim Carrey, Sandra Bullock, Babyface, too many to name, 23, yes, play basketball, Nick; 5 ½ years, Jenn; the day after she got here, a basketball court, February 20, 5’7", love play and beating Nick, singing, yes, I like you." He said practically out of breath.
"We are very much alike and we are exactly one year apart." Said Kayleigh realizing how many of his answers were the same as hers.
"Yeah, I know. That’s pretty neat." Said Brian thinking how beautiful Kayleigh was.
"Oh, I’m cold" said Kay as she shivered.
"Here, take my jacket." Said Brian being a gentleman.
"Thanks, are you sure you won’t be cold?"
"I’m fine"
"Do you wanna head back now?"
"Sure, let’s go.’" Said Brian taking her hand.
~Nick and Jenn~
"I love you Nick. Good Night."
"I love you too. G’Night, don’t let the bed bugs bite." Said Nick as he kissed the top of her head softly.
"Kay, we might want to be quiet , Nick and Jenn are probably sleeping." Said Brian in a hushed tone.
"Okay," she said.
"Bri, I’m sorry but I can only come in for a minute or two, I promised my mom that I would be home before midnight. It’s already, 11:40." Said Kayleigh as she looked at her watch.
"Okay" When they walked in they saw Nick and Jenn in front of the TV asleep so they couldn’t turn it on.
"Why don’t I go, do you want to get together tomorrow?" question Kayleigh.
"I would like that. Good Night." Said Brian as he opened the door and led her outside. He slowly leaned down and kissed her sweetly on the lips.
"Good Night Brian. See you tomorrow."
