Nick stumbled into the room and AJ sat up on the couch he had been sleeping on. "What was that?" I asked, as Brian turned on the light.
"It was one of the girls" replied Howie.
"Come on," I said, motioning for them to follow me. We walked up the stairs and I ran smack into Ashley. "I’m sorry, baby." I replied as I helped her off of the floor. We walked by Sarah’s room, and saw that she was sound asleep. Ashley pointed to her and said, "A train couldn’t wake her up." Brian chuckled at this.
Next we walked by Trisha’s room which of course was empty. AJ went across the hall into Emily’s room. She was sitting up in her bed crying. "Honey, what’s wrong?" asked AJ, as he embraced her in a hug. (I know, they hug a lot.)
"What if she never comes back?" she sobbed. By now everyone had joined them, thinking it was her who screamed.
"She will, baby, she will."
"What scared you so much that you screamed?" questioned Nick.
"I didn’t scream." She said.
"What??? Then it must have been…TIELA!!!!" screamed Nick. He jumped off the bed and scurried into the other bedroom. "We all quickly followed. Why does this have to happen?? Where is she??" he yelled, seeing Tiela was also missing now.
"I don’t know, Nick." I said, as I patted his back, comfortingly. I knew how upset he must have been, since he doesn’t even get this way when Brian beats him at Nintendo. (I know I’m cruel thinking about Nintendo at a time like this) There was a soft murmur outside of the window.
"What was that?" asked Brian.
Howie was the closest to the window, so he looked over the edge. A look of horror passed over his face as he once again looked out the window. It was Tiela. She was on the ledge. Blood was drooling out of her side. "B-rok, help me!!" said Howie, seeing that Nick might not be able to handle this right now. Brian and Howie got her back inside the house while AJ and I went and got some towels to stop the bleeding for now. When we got back, Nick and Emily were by her side. Ashley went and got Sarah.
"It’s going to be all right, baby. I promise. I love you, I won’t let anything happen." Nick managed to choke out.
"I love you, too." She replied before everything went black.
