Chapter 16
"OK, what do you wanna hear?" Kevin was glad that he had finally found his baby sister.
"Ummm... I want to hear.... you're solo song. Not 'Ten Thousand Promises', that new one you sang at my concert. Kevin was very nervous to sing this song, this was their Dad's favorite song, that's why he had originally decided to sing it. After a minute, he looked at his sister, who was sitting on the sand next to him hugging her knees, he took a deep breath and started singing.
Hold me close, baby please
"You mean, my Mom?"
"No, I mean our Mom." Kevin gave Adrianne a piggy back ride back to his house and then into the living room where they saw Ann sitting in AJ's rocking chair.
"Hey, Mom. What are you doing?" Kevin put Adrianne down and walked over to the couch, with a very quiet Adrianne right behind him.
"Adrianne, come here and give me a kiss goodnight. I would like to talk to your brother. I will talk to you tomorrow morning. Goodnight, sweetheart." Adrianne got up, kissed her Mother's cheek, said goodnight to Kevin and her Mother and went upstairs and got ready for bed, and then crawled in bed with AJ.
"Kevin, I am very very sorry about not telling you about Adrianne. I wanted to protect everyone, and make everyone happy. However, I have found that the easiest way to fail is to try to make everyone happy. Your father and I never meant for this to hurt you boys so badly. We do love you." Kevin's mother had tears in her eyes. She wanted so badly for her boys and Jerald to be there, this was not how she pictured her family.
"Ma, Adrianne and I talked this over and I am not mad. I was upset because Adrianne never saw our family how we really were. She didn't get to experience us, all together as a family. I wanted that for her. I was upset for her, only to find out that she was happy that she was even apart of us, that she got to be apart of what we have. I am very sorry Ma." Kevin got up and kissed his mother's cheek and then went and got ready for bed. He had a very busy day tomorrow, he had to take Sheana to the airport and send her to PA, then go to rehearsal and practice for the tour. They were leaving for Europe in 2 days. Which also meant, he would have to say good-bye to Adrianne and his mother in 2 days.

Kevin took a deep breath, and kissed his little sister on her forehead, and then stood up and grabbed her hands and pulled her up to. "Come on, Kiddo. Let's get back to the house, I think I have to talk to my Mom."
