Adrianne could tell that Kevin's mother did not want to discuss this matter, but that made her wonder why she his Mom came down in the first place. Possibly to see what kind of bitch would make her baby do such a horrible thing, or ask AJ what the hell he was thinking dating such a terrible person.

"I don't think you are a bad person, Miss Adrianne." Adrianne jumped at the sound of Ann's gentle voice. She looked over at her, and gave her a weird look.

"How did you know that's what I was thinking?"

"I am not stupid, and I wasn't born yesterday. I could tell by the faces you were making at your own thoughts. I didn't want you to get carried away by your imagination, so I decided to tell you. I understand that you asked Kevin to ask me a very personal question because you had a very big hunch. But let me remind you that it was a hunch. I brought some stuff that may help you find what you are looking for, but it is all packed in my bags. I will not give you any answer while we are in the car, I would like to take you, Kevin, Sheana, and AJ out to dinner tonight to discuss this matter. Kevin, I do not want to hear it." Kevin's Mother said to him before he could even get the words out he wanted to say, she knew him very well and knew he would protest about her having to go out to eat, and she knew he didn't want her buying them dinner.

"Mama, I didn't say anything, if that is what you want to do, then do so. I would rather not discuss it in a public place, but you do what you want." Kevin was not in the mood to argue with his mom at the time. Kevin pulled into the driveway and parked the car. Nick and Brian were playing basketball, but stopped when they saw Kevin pulling up. Both boys helped get Mrs. Richardson's things out of Kevin's truck. Brian gave his Aunt a hug and gave Kevin a questioning look, wondering why she came down, when there were no holidays coming up. Instead of starting trouble, he just helped Nick with the bags, and went inside, and took them up to the guest room near Kevin's room. Then, both Nick and Brian went back outside to shoot some hoops.

"I'll page AJ, I know he isn't home right now." Adrianne decided to get this darn thing over with, she didn't want to wait to hear the bad news. She wanted to smack herself for ever thinking that Kevin Scott Richardson was her real biological brother.

"OK, after you talk to him, I will call Sheana, and have her come over here. It's gonna be around 7 or so by the time they both get over here, is that OK Mom?" Kevin was also very anxious about finding out the news, he knew that whatever the outcome, Adrianne's and his relationship would not change.

"That is fine with me, Kevin. I don't mind if it's 10:30 before we get out, but I do not want to discuss this matter while Brian, Nickolas, and Howard are in the house. It is not any of their business whether Adrianne is a Richardson or not. Is that understood? I thought so." Kevin's Mother didn't even wait for a response from Adrianne or Kevin, with the tone she was using, she knew that it would be understood no matter what.

At 6:45, AJ and Sheana pulled up to the house in their own cars, and go out. Sheana asked AJ what was going on, and AJ just shrugged his shoulders. Adrianne and Kevin just told each of them to get over to the house as soon as possible. After exchanging their "hello's," all five of them got into AJ's car and drove towards Alberto's, a fancy Italian restaurant that was about 20 minutes from the house. After being seated, Kevin's Mother pulled out her bag and started taking one thing out at a time. Adrianne looked right at Kevin, and he just shook his head, not recognizing any of the envelopes or packages.

"Miss Adrianne, I would like for you to look at some of these things. They might tell you who you are, and they might not. While you look, I will inform Sheana and AJ. It's nice to see you again Miss Sheana, why did you stop calling me? I was worried about you." Adrianne started opening up envelopes, while Mrs. Richardson started playing 20 questions with Sheana and AJ.

"I am sorry, I have been really busy lately, and I didn't know what you were up to, so I didn't think twice to call. I really am sorry."

"Yes dear, its ok. Kevin says you are going to New York to dance, and then you are joining the tour? That is some good news. AJ, where did you meet Adrianne?"

"Well, I saw her in the crowd about a month ago, at a concert. Then a few days later, I went to Sandy's with Kevin, and saw Adrianne again, and we hit it off. Just kinda knew it then when I saw her that she was the most beautiful girl in the world." AJ smiled at Adrianne who was sifting through all the paperwork and pictures.

"Mrs. Richardson, these things don't tell me anything. The paperwork is very confusing." Kevin's Mother reached her hand over the table and placed it on Adrianne's. She looked her straight in the eye.

"Adrianne, I think I need to tell you a story. Kevin, pay attention too. When Kevin was about 6, his father and I got pregnant again. The baby would not be the problem, but since we were living in a cabin at the time, we feared that the baby would not get everything it deserved. So when I went into labor, Kevin, Jerald Jr., and Timothy stayed with the Littrell's. I believe they stayed there for close to a month, his Father and I needed some time to get over our decision. The baby was born, but we gave it up for adoption. The baby was given to distant friends of ours who lived in Georgia. During the time that the baby was given away, and while the boys stayed with their Aunt,Uncle, and cousins, his father and I delt with our pain. We told the boys that the baby was still born becuase we didn't want him to know what our decision was. We feared that they would be very upset with us. Before Jerald died, he wanted to tell the boys that they had a baby sister, unfortuantely he didn't have the chance to. I know that now we should have told you boys, but we never knew when the time would be right. Adrianne, you are that little girl. You are my baby girl, if Jerald saw the beautiful woman you turned into he would be soo proud. He never knew that every month I would write to the adoption agency updating them on our status, they would send your information back. When Jerald died, I thought about meeting you. He didnt want to ruin the lifestyle we had, but then deciding that he wouldn't want me and you to meet, I just kept sending status reports. I am very sorry that you had to find out this way, but I do want you to know that your father was a very wonderful man and he would be very proud of all his children. Kevin, I am very sorry you had to find out this way. No one in the family knew about this."

"Mama, I don't know what to say to you right now. I am very hurt about all this, so I will wait a few minutes before I say anything back." Kevin couldn't look up from the table, half way through the story he had taken Sheana's hand, and frozen. He had soo much anger in his heart right now.

"Ann, I am very sorry to have caused you soo much pain. This is not what I wanted to happen. I have hurt your family, I am very sorry.' Adrianne was crying, and didn't know what to do. She was very happy, but the story was so sad. She also had to deal with the fact that she no longer had a father, she missed him but didn't even know him.
