Kevin picked Adrianne up two days later to go to the airport to pick up his, and possibly her, Mother. Adrianne tried starting conversation with Kevin on the way to the airport, but Adrianne finally caught on that Kevin was too nervous and a little upset to talk about anything, so she finally gave up and cranked up the song that was on the radio at the time. After about 45 minutes in the car they finally reached the airport, they quickly found a parking spot and then went and found the terminal Kevin's Mother would be at. Finding out that her plane was delayed 15 minutes, the two sat down and waited in the terminal, staring out the window. Finally, Adrianne decided to say something.

"Kevin, I don't really know you. I have read soo much about you, and that's all I know. I know that even one of your best friends probably wouldn't ask this favor of you, especially since your Mother sounded so upset about it. Please do not think that I just go around asking favors of perfect strangers. If I didn't feel soo close to you then I wouldn't have even bothered. My entire life I have been wondering who my parents were, ever since you guys came out, people have been telling me that I look like you. At first I just blew them off, but then when I met you and got to know you, I thought, OK, so maybe this is my brother, and maybe he has a link to my past. I know that it was a wild risk, and that it could end up hurting a lot of people. I am very sorry for that, but I love you, I love the person that you are. You are such a great person to me, and I would be soo honored to find out that you were my brother, I want to be a part of a family. Can you understand that?" Adrianne looked deeply into Kevin's eyes, hoping that he understood.

"Adrianne. I want to tell you exactly how I feel, so please do not get upset with me. I do understand that you feel awkward asking this favor of me, and I do know that we are not exactly best friends since we've only known eachother for about a month. I want you to know how hard this was to confront my mother with, never in a million years would I try to hurt my Mother, she is all I have left. Yes, I do have Brian and his family, but they are extended family, not immediate, the family that I need to be there for me is only my Mother, my Father is dead. If you were my sister I would be soo happy, but also very upset. because you are already 21 and I have missed out on 21 years of your life, and you have missed out on 21 years of mine. That hurts me a lot, and I don't want that pain in my life. But I would never let you go if I found out that you were my real sister. My life is being torn in many different ways right now. I just want you to know that I love you very much, no matter what the outcome is. From this moment on I will treat you like my little sister, blood or not. AJ is like my brother, so in a way you are a little sister to me." Kevin reached over and hugged Adrianne and kissed her forehead. The two of them stayed like that until they saw the plane land, and people starting to come off. Kevin let go of Adrianne and helped her stand up. Together they stood there for Kevin's Mother to come off the plane. When she did she ran over to Kevin and gave him a big hug.

"Oh Kevin, you looks soo gorgeous. My baby is growing up, gosh, you are soo tall. Is little Nicky taller than you yet? You too look so big up on that stage, the television does nothing for Nickolas' figure though. Really now. Kevin are you gonna introduce me to your friend?" Kevin just smiled at his Mother, she was such a character.

"Yes, Mother, but to answer your questions first. We are about the same height, and Nick isn't exactly worried about his figure on TV. He has been working out a lot. This is my friend Adrianne, AJ's girlfriend. The whole reason you rushed down here. Remember?"

"Ofcourse I do Kevin, I am not that old, honey. Where's that pretty little girl, Sheana, that you have been seeing for so long? You didn't bring her with you? Are you two still together?" Kevin just looked at Adrianne and smiled, Adrianne couldn't stop her giggling, she thought Kevin's Mother was a riot.

"Yes, Sheana and I are still together. Sheana had to pack for New York. She is going away for a few weeks. She also thought it would be better if only Adrianne and I came to pick you up, she didn't want to be on the way. I will fill her in on the details later. Let's go pick up your bags Mom, and then go home. We can talk then." Kevin, Adrianne, and Kevin's Mother walked to baggage claim and then walked to Kevin's truck and started driving home. The conversation on the way home was a little stiff.
