I really should be getting ready to go tomorrow. I still have to wash dishes, finish up some laundry, vacuum, and finish packing. I hate this part of traveling!

On The Road Again!

We had the camper serviced for this trip, and after we picked it up, we stopped in at the campground to "dump". Another camper was in our spot! I felt indignant, sad, uneasy, and many other churnings. If it were'nt for seeing youngest and his family, I would have scrapped the trip right there and told those interlopers to go someplace else: That's MY house!

The first few days on a new job are hard. I'll be leaving behind (literally, as the powers that be are moving me into another office), my wonderful home visitors that I trained, nurtured, and marveled at for three and a half years. They have been turned over to another manager who will have less time than I had to help them "debrief" after a difficult day.

I got a good outline, with some fun stuff mixed in with the dry info, for the training on Sept. 10. I took it to another manager for her ideas, and she said, "Oh, we won't be ready for this training for at least another week!" Oh. OK. Now what?

So, I struggle blindly, without even an official OK on my job description, so I'm not sure what everyone wants me to do. Although, it's pretty clear after these last few days that they plan to give me the jobs no one else has had time (or interest in) doing.

Two more years, and then I'M OUTA HEAH!

And then, we'll REALLY be "on the road".
