~Email Me!~

7:31 PM Dainty snowdrops nodding their heads...
Delicate daffies gracefully dancing...
Bold crocuses parading their colors...
And the tiny irises, flashing their bright eyes.

It smells like, looks like, sounds like, feels like, and, yes, even tastes like SPRING! (I ate a few sprigs of salad burnett and a couple tiny stems of chives on my way in from my walk today.)

And What Did You Do Today, Miz Manatee?

Where do my days go? I had every intention of finishing up the typing I had to do for my CDA class. My office mate (I call her my "Roomie") was on the computer. That's OK, she said she'd be done in a few minutes. That was before the printer wouldn't work for her. I sat down at the computer and fooled around with it for several minutes, trying to do something useful. I did finally get an error message, at least; not that it did me any good.

I wandered up to the main office to talk to my computer guru. I told her all the steps I had gone through, and she said I done good. "Turn the darn thing off," she suggested, "and try again." (?) OK, I thought, she knows what she's doing. So I did that, carefully turning the printer back on before the turning on the computer, as she told me. (Do you remember that this wasn't even MY DOCUMENT I was spending all this time on?) Oh, the first thing I had done was to check the cable and be sure everything was plugged in.

Nothing. I called up to the main office for the guru. I tried to get a few other little things done while she fiddled with the printer. Solved! Yesterday the secretary had changed the ink cartridge and forgot to take off the little strip. Grrr! So now I have lost mucho time, and there is no way I can get to the computer to finish my work.

I went to my first meeting...it lasted too long and accomplished precious little. We took one of the managers out to lunch for her birthday, which was the only bright spot in the day. When we returned, we went into another meeting which lasted too long and accomplished only slightly more than the first. I was then supposed to have a meeting with THE BOSS, which she tried to do in the middle of the rest of the team...impossible. She was so distracted, that after almost an hour of her divided time, when she finally gave me her total attention, we had 15 minutes, and I stuttered and stammered, trying to get the hour's worth of information and questions into those last few minutes. AGGHH!

So, I came home, late. And I went for my walk. And I found Spring, hiding in the bushes next to the lake. And I found my equilibrium. Now, I guess I'll go do the dishes and check out my leftover seeds. Then to bed so that I can do it all over again tomorrow.
